00:00 Well, the action never stops on the Freeride World Tour.
00:03 He's kind of got the full package.
00:09 He's the new generation of freeriders,
00:11 but he's also got the deep freestyle bag.
00:13 So let's see what Holden Samuels can bring to the Ozone face here today.
00:17 Well, the riders just loving the conditions as he's going
00:26 up just a touch higher, catching an upper air that we haven't seen anybody hit yet.
00:30 And now just pinned through the powder.
00:32 Holden having a great time out there.
00:34 How is that heelside turn just leaning back into it?
00:36 Pinned with the pre-hop.
00:44 Oh my God.
00:46 Speaking of full packages,
00:49 Samuel Holden's just got absolutely massive out the bottom.
00:56 So now we have Michael Morn, who is our winner from last year's
01:00 Takera Barrette Pro.
01:03 So he is diving in pretty central on the face,
01:08 heading into the couloir there that a few riders have been through already.
01:13 It's quite rocky.
01:14 There's a bit of snow, but it's really technical riding and airing
01:17 back into that couloir, controlling his speed.
01:20 Amazing board handling skills here.
01:23 Wow, that was pinned.
01:29 We saw Ludo go through that, and I have to say, Michael, making it look better.
01:33 Another one there landing on the heelside edge to control himself
01:36 and giving himself another feature with the grab.
01:39 So Michael Morn, really strong start and flying off that lower one.
01:43 Oh, another banger run from the snowboard men.
01:46 This is heating up here.
01:48 And another one at the bottom.
01:50 He has had a sick run that just looked like a hell of a good time.
01:53 So Liam Rivera, 23 years old, Mexican rider,
02:01 the first Mexican rider on the Freeride World Tour
02:04 and the first Mexican rider on the podium.
02:05 Yeah, all the way down there, you can see some old tracks there
02:12 as Liam now into the guts of it and starting off with a bang.
02:16 Already two features and a 360 perfect powder landing.
02:20 Oh, what a way to start this comp.
02:22 Oh, look at that little Herpes, he's gone from three to back three.
02:30 Liam being a regular rider, just whacking that snow off as he descends into the shade.
02:38 Liam all smiles, face covered in snow, but not from falling,
02:42 but just from white rooming himself.
02:44 Our next rider in the gate is an American rider living in Canada
02:48 in the Sea to Sky Corridor, Jonathan Penfield, Jon Pau,
02:51 getting ready to back it up.
02:53 Snowboard men looking like he's heading across to the riders left,
02:57 which requires some real navigation through exposure.
03:00 But he's a very technical rider, and I'm confident he's going to nail it.
03:04 It is so steep up here and you don't see it quite yet on the camera,
03:08 but the exposure underneath him is ginormous.
03:10 So Jonathan coming across on the heel side as he gets himself set up
03:14 over this extremely exposed section, airing into the approach
03:18 to the Hoisel Cliff and taking a cross court with a transfer.
03:21 Oh, that was in.
03:23 Wow. Outrageous.
03:25 Threading from the Housel over to the pyramid, little transfer there.
03:28 Incredible stuff from Jonathan Penfield.
03:31 Super creative line.
03:38 Looks like he's heading down into this section
03:40 on the riders right side of the canyon, airing onto that pad.
03:43 So Jon Pau packing his run with features in a completely different section
03:48 than we saw Ludo.
03:49 And getting the grabs there on all of his airs,
03:51 lining up another one down the bottom section here.
03:55 And riding up clean.
03:58 And you can see a little speed check there before he took off.
04:01 That was smart riding, because if you take that one long,
04:04 it gets flat real quick.
04:05 The tide runs out on that air. So smart riding from Jon Penfield.
04:09 Speaking of clean runs, Ludo Guillodiat, 37 years old,
04:17 one of the strongest guys on tour.
04:19 He's stomping runs and he's really picking creative lines.
04:21 Oh, Ludo going for what was sort of previously been the skier's entrance
04:30 across there on the heel side, now putting himself on the toe side
04:34 and starting off with a bang. Ludo's perfect landing.
04:37 You can see him land in the exact same spot as Wei Tianhou, the forerunner earlier.
04:41 So that is a really strong way to start.
04:43 Super scary to get over there on your heel side edge.
04:46 He's back to himself, gets the grab on that next air.
04:49 What is he lining up for us next?
04:52 Ludo just so strong and balanced over his board, slashing that wind drift
04:56 and coming high on this one, straight off the nose.
05:00 And another stomp for Ludo Guillodiat.
05:03 Or some of the snowboard women.
05:04 Nope, dropping down a little bit lower, but Ludo has a big feature
05:08 lined up underneath him here as he tosses the backflip.
05:12 And Ludo stomping the wildcat backflip there that was so well executed.
05:17 Well, plenty of stuff still below him, as it looks like he's got another one
05:22 lined up catching the corner of that slightly more wind affected.
05:26 And Ludo now pointing it out the bottom.
05:28 Magnificent run there from Ludo Guillodiat.
05:31 He has really found his spot.
05:34 Well friends, for your free ride, world champion, Ludo Guillodiat!
