He took three wickets for 37 runs as the Kiwis dismissed the Lions for 171 in 46.4 overs, a total the last edition's losing finalists chased down with 160 balls to spare. The five-wicket win at Bengaluru's Chinnaswamy Stadium all but confirmed a semi-final spot for New Zealand and the prospects of a last-four meeting with hosts India, who have already sealed the top spot with eight wins in eight matches, at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium on November 15 only enlivens the rivalry. Earlier in the tournament, India beat New Zealand by four wickets in Dharamsala.
