01:03 In 1996, Ramos Horta and Bishop Carlos Velo

01:08 were awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for their efforts

01:11 to ensure the safe departure of East Timor from Indonesia.

01:15 There is so much to learn from your experience

01:19 in working for a just and peaceful solution

01:24 to the conflict in East Timor.

01:28 President Ramos Horta was grateful for the recognition

01:31 given to him by GMA.

01:33 He also gave the equality of Timor-Leste and the Philippines,

01:37 both Catholic countries, both conquered, fought, and prospered.
