Mariusz Grabicki & Sara Walczak's Fatal Crash @ Rajd Strzeliński 2006

The accident that claimed the lives of two spectators occurred during the fifth special stage of the Rajd Strzelinski, fourth round of the 2006 PZM - Polskiego Związku Motorowego Rally Cup (Polish Racing Association Rally Cup).

The Peugeot 206 #42 of Aleksander Jaroszewicz-Paweł Tarapacki made a bad landing after a small jump and veered off the road at an estimated speed of 150 km/h. The car crashed into a group of spectators who reportedly were standing in a forbidden place. Two people were killed on the spot, a 21-year-old man, Mariusz Grabicki and a 17-year-old girl, Sara Walczak. Another unnamed 19-year-old girl was seriously injured, being taken to hospital. It happened near the small town of Gęsice, Oławski, Poland.

After the accident the special stage was immediately stopped. The subsequent last special stage was cancelled and the final classification was taken by the previous stage. Winners of the rally were declared Grzegorz Sieklucki-Bartosz Foltynowicz in a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VI.
