Kamil Szmadyło's Fatal Crash @ Rajd Świdnicki-Krause 2008 (Aftermath)

A spectator was killed during the Rally Świdnicki-Krause, fifth round of the 2008 PZM Polish Rally Cup.

The accident happened on Saturday, 21 June 2008, in the village of Sokolec in Kłodzko County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland, about one kilometer after the start of the second special stage Rzeczka-Sokolec of the rally. The #71 Fiat Cinquecento Group N, reg. plate number KOS8U72, driven by Kamil Kurasiński-Marcin Janowski went into a slide ending off the road. The driver was unable to avoid a spectator, Kamil Szmadyło, 29-year-old, who walked in the opposite direction. The unfortunate man was killed instantly.

The driver Kurasiński and his co-driver Janowski were unscathed. Winners of the rally were Piotr Sopoliński-Tomasz Borko in an Opel Astra.
