00:02 - This is Red Timber 2023.
00:04 This is the sixth year,
00:05 and we're so proud here at Bathurst High Campus
00:07 that we started Wear Red Day
00:10 and it turned into Red Timber.
00:12 Started off raising $4,000
00:14 and we're now raising more than $50,000 a year
00:17 that keeps the room open
00:18 at Ronald McDonald Central West for a whole year.
00:21 I couldn't be more proud of the kids
00:23 and the way they've engaged with activities this year.
00:25 Today's Wear Red Day and Buy a Sausage Sandwich.
00:28 In a couple of weeks we'll have a mini fight,
00:30 a hot dog day, a pizza day,
00:32 but right across the community and the Bathurst community,
00:35 they themselves are the ones
00:37 that raise around $50,000 to $60,000
00:39 through auctions and other things and events
00:41 that go towards the house in orange.
00:44 And it's families in Bathurst that use that house
00:47 when they've got really sick kids.
00:49 And as I said, we'll continue to do this.
00:52 It means a lot to the kids now.
00:53 It's really grown
00:54 and we've got the best school spirit
00:56 of anywhere in New South Wales.
00:58 We love Bathurst High, I love Bathurst High,
01:00 and we all love Red Timber.
01:01 So well done to the kids and to all the people involved.
01:04 Thank you very, very much.
