00:00 I was in a group chat with many retired generals,
00:03 they had a lot of suggestions,
00:05 and we were getting to know their experiences.
00:09 Now, I can't hear anything from the D-Staff.
00:13 Meanwhile, I used to be fond of this and that.
00:17 I've changed my life.
00:18 I really can't hear anything.
00:21 What we can say is,
00:24 there are really problems with our Armed Forces.
00:29 First of all, the first issue,
00:31 and our problem has really changed.
00:35 Before, there were NPAs,
00:37 secessionist movements,
00:39 domestic insurgency.
00:42 Now, there's external aggression in the West Philippine Sea.
00:45 Everything is changing, even the budget.
00:48 What they're asking for are drones, missiles,
00:50 freegates, fighter jets.
00:52 This is very different from the
00:53 guerrilla warfare that we know of,
00:57 from Samar to Cordillera to Mindanao.
01:01 Now, the second issue,
01:02 we've solved the issue of promotion.
01:05 The problem of the new law is really low.
01:09 Many will be imprisoned, frozen,
01:12 unable to move forward,
01:15 but will still be at-risk.
01:17 So, we've fixed that.
01:19 Let's see, I pray that it's a work in progress.
01:22 We're very happy to keep studying
01:25 and reviewing our work.
01:27 The third problem is that
01:29 our officials' pensions will be cut.
01:32 They'll be forced to work,
01:34 they'll be injured,
01:35 and some of us will die.
01:38 Some will say that they have no money.
01:41 We know that our economic managers are right.
01:44 We really lack funds.
01:46 Even so,
01:48 a promise is a promise.
01:50 We promised them, we have a contract with them.
01:53 We can't just suddenly send soldiers here.
01:58 We can't just send soldiers here.
02:01 We have to do something.
