00:24 Nobody even said to my daughter, you know,
00:26 what she's considering on keeping this child, and said that abortion is pushed on people automatically.
00:31 I feel very offended when I watch Parliament, watching the government,
00:36 making decisions on how women should live their lives
00:40 and what they should do to their own personal bodies.
00:42 They stand there in Parliament and say, "Abortions aren't allowed.
00:46 You're supposed to have these kids. You're supposed to go on fixed incomes.
00:48 You're supposed to live in Ontario housing. You're supposed to raise these kids.
00:52 And I want you to have five more just like them."
00:54 If they had a Salvation Army store, it would be perfect, because that's how long my money lasts.
00:57 You know, it's in one hand, it's out the other.
00:59 But I don't have a choice. I'm a poor person.
01:02 Women have an abortion because they're scared and they don't think they have enough money to support it.
01:10 If I was to have another child, the government would have to pay for that child, and I have two already.
01:16 So, with my decision of having an abortion, I think it was better for me and the government,
01:21 because then they wouldn't have to pay that child's way until he or she was 18 years old.
01:26 I chose to keep my child. That doesn't mean that everybody in the world has to.
01:39 Next time I get pregnant, I may choose to have an abortion,
01:43 and I think that should be my prerogative to raise children or not to.
