00:00 (Applause.)
00:24 Well, that didn't turn out exactly how I wanted it to.
00:35 (Laughter.)
00:36 Well, look, it has been such an honor to run as the Republican nominee for governor and
00:44 to run alongside someone who is the pride of Henderson County and the best-dressed man
00:52 I know.
00:55 The fact that he runs a dry cleaner's might have something to do with that.
01:00 But Robby Mills, it's been an honor.
01:07 (Applause.)
01:12 I promised the governor I'd be brief, so I'll be brief tonight and say thank you all.
01:19 Thank you so much for your willingness and commit to this campaign and this effort, an
01:25 effort that was ultimately about our kids and our grandkids.
01:30 You know -- (applause) -- and, you know, oftentimes when I'd go into counties and communities,
01:42 I would bring the best campaigner I know with me, my wife, Mackenzie Cameron.
01:53 (Applause.)
01:58 Doesn't she look radiant tonight, I think?
02:04 (Applause.)
02:06 But it's been an honor to be her husband.
02:10 We've got a 22-month-old at home, and we've got another one on the way next spring.
02:19 (Applause.)
02:22 But whether it was Mackenzie or Vicki Mills or all of you all here, again, this was about
02:32 future generations.
02:33 And as I called the governor to congratulate him, I know from his perspective and from
02:42 all of our perspectives that we all want the same thing for our future generations.
02:48 We want a better commonwealth, one in which it can ultimately be a shining city on a hill,
02:55 a model and example for the rest of the nation to follow.
02:58 And so as I did with Governor Beshear, I want all of us to think about what these next few
03:06 decades will look like.
03:08 And I ask that you pray for Governor Beshear and his team and for all of our commonwealth,
03:15 because at the end of the day, win, lose, or draw, what ultimately matters is that we
03:22 know that Christ is on the throne.
03:26 (Applause.)
03:28 Thanks, Mack.
03:36 (Laughter.)
03:39 But that's what Mackenzie and I will return to.
03:51 We'll return to trying to be the hands and feet of Christ.
03:54 I know that you all will as well.
03:57 We'll try to instill those principles in Theodore and the child that will be named
04:01 at some point.
04:02 We're still trying to figure that name out.
04:05 But that's what it's about here on this earth, about leaving it better than you found
04:10 it and giving a better future for your kids and your grandkids.
04:16 So let us continue in that effort.
04:17 Let us continue in that work.
04:19 I want to thank my campaign team.
04:21 I'm not going to name all of them, but I want to give a shout-out to Terry Carmack,
04:24 my big brother.
04:25 (Applause.)
04:26 Brandon Moody, who has been with me since the 2019 campaign.
04:40 (Applause.)
04:44 And the final member of the Troika, Scott Jennings.
04:47 Thank you, my friend.
04:48 (Applause.)
04:49 And of course, I've got to give a shout-out to my mom, who is a prayer warrior.
05:02 (Applause.)
05:05 So thank you to all of you.
05:06 May God bless you, and God bless Kentucky.
05:09 Thank you so much.
05:10 (Applause.)
