00:00We're here as a group of AOCs and LDC.
00:04We've just walked out.
00:05We came here to this COP for a fair deal.
00:08We feel that we haven't been heard and there's a deal to be made.
00:12And we have not been consulted.
00:14That's why we're here.
00:14But we are here to negotiate.
00:18But we've walked out because at the moment we don't feel that we are being heard.
00:22We are the countries that are probably the most affected by climate change.
00:27You know, our countries have not contributed a lot.
00:30But we are affected.
00:31That's why we're here to negotiate on behalf of our countries.
00:34We've made our needs and wants known.
00:38It's they're being ignored.
00:40And that's why we've walked out.
00:41But the problem is that this has been released very late.
00:44It was released yesterday.
00:46The timing is very short.
00:49So we have some countries which are the most,
00:53the least, with the least capacity, not feeling satisfied.
00:58We need them to be able to move and deliberate.
01:02But I will encourage them not to step up.
01:05So what happened today is that the moral compass of the world,
01:09the most vulnerable countries on our planet,
01:12have walked out of the negotiations
01:15after the developed world failed to honor the promise
01:18they've made to provide climate finance.
01:21The rich world are refusing to honor their obligations
01:24and they're effectively working to ensure
01:27they can shift the burden to the developing countries.
01:30We also still believe very strongly that it's better to walk away
01:35from a deal that is so bad, that it is so unacceptable.
01:40We cannot say it any more strongly than some of the parties here
01:43have already said.
01:45It is more than a joke.
01:46It is deeply insulting.
01:47It is unacceptable.
01:49And we'd rather fight for another year than accept a really bad.
