00:00 Jacksonville has won five straight fresh off the by Donnie.
00:03 They will host a team that entered in the opposite end of the equation
00:06 into their bye week, the San Francisco 49ers, losers of three in a row.
00:11 But yet San Francisco, Donnie,
00:12 still a three point favorite on the road in Duval against Jacksonville.
00:18 Is the right side favored, Donnie?
00:20 And what would you make the spread?
00:22 >> The right side is favored because why?
00:23 Well, the bookmakers aren't stupid here.
00:25 And also, keep in mind, they know where the money is going to come in at.
00:28 So if you're gonna say to yourself, hey, the correct number here for
00:30 us is minus three on Jacksonville, you get an avalanche on San Francisco.
00:34 But still, keeping at that three point number here for San Francisco,
00:37 you're still gonna get a lot of money going in the direction.
00:40 As much as, let's just say, six out of every ten tickets,
00:42 it looks like coming in early here for the San Francisco 49ers.
00:45 And rightfully so, but I gotta tell you, sometimes you just read lines here and
00:49 say, ooh, this one just feels a little bit off.
00:51 Now sometimes it doesn't go in your direction.
00:53 I thought the Buffalo Bills hanging around a two and a half point,
00:55 one and a half point dog against Cincinnati.
00:57 I thought that was kind of crazy, but
00:59 Cincinnati ended up winning and covering that number here.
01:01 I look at this number to myself and say,
01:03 Jacksonville is a legitimately good football team here.
01:06 And you're not saying like, ooh, is this the first time the 49ers are gonna get
01:09 tripped up here by going on the road to Duval County?
01:11 No, they lost three straight times heading into their bye.
01:14 So we're just gonna be under the impression that a bye week's going to fix
01:18 things here for the San Francisco 49ers.
01:20 And also, those lowly Jaguars of the mid-tooth, no,
01:24 the Jaguars are really good football team, as you said, one of the hottest,
01:27 if not the hottest teams in the league, and
01:28 also coming off of their bye week and at home.
01:31 As this game sits here on a Tuesday morning, I look at that three point number,
01:34 I went in on the Jacksonville Jaguars.
01:36 It's not saying the 49ers are a terrible football team, and
01:39 I'm not saying the Jacksonville Jaguars will run away with the AFC if they win
01:42 this game, but if you're gonna give me points at home,
01:45 I'm gonna take the Jacksonville Jaguars with a three.
01:47 >> What's interesting, Donnie,
01:49 down in Duval actually hasn't been all that great for the Jaguars this year.
01:53 They're just two and two at home.
01:55 They are four and O away from Jacksonville,
01:58 including, of course, two wins in London.
02:01 This is a game for me, Donnie.
02:03 You would assume San Francisco is healthy out of the bye.
02:05 We should see both Debo Samuel and Trent Williams return.
02:10 This is a game for me that will prove where the 49ers are.
02:14 Are they truly that elite team that was the most impressive in their opening five
02:18 wins of the year?
02:20 Or are they a really good football team that does not have a quarterback that can
02:24 lead them to win, and if they're not at full health,
02:27 they're a pretty good team, but not elite?
02:31 That is the question, in my estimation, Donnie, for
02:34 the San Francisco 49ers team in this game.
02:37 They are priced like an elite football team, six to one to win the Super Bowl
02:42 right now, that second best number out in the NFC, and a three point favorite
02:46 on the road against a Jacksonville team that is six and two this year, and
02:50 has won five straight games.
02:52 I think, Donnie, it's time to prove that price for the 49ers on Sunday.
02:56 >> Yeah, it is trying to prove it, and
02:58 also it's put up a shut up time for the 49ers.
03:00 Like we're supposed to be, we just had a poll out there,
03:02 are the 49ers the best team in the NFL as one of the four options here?
03:06 What other time would we put a team that lost three straight football games
03:10 as if we think they're gonna be a chance to be the best team in the NFL?
03:13 We know they're talented.
03:14 We know if they put together, they can be a formidable opponent.
03:16 But also keep in mind, this is also a big game for
03:19 the 49ers overall in their season.
03:21 Forget about, if they lose that, they'll just recover.
03:23 You're fighting with the Seahawks now.
03:25 You're losing day by day the race to try to become a top seed in the NFC, so
03:29 you don't have to play the Philadelphia Eagles in Philadelphia.
03:32 Yeah, you're actually going to play the Eagles before you get to the playoffs
03:35 in Philadelphia.
03:36 So if you let this lead slip and say, okay, they lose another game here,
03:40 which means four in a row, things are going to be looking up.
03:42 But also on the flip side,
03:44 Jacksonville as we always thought is the best team in the AFC South.
03:47 They're the most talented team.
03:48 Even though the 49ers have lost three in a row, I look at Jacksonville in this game
03:52 and say to myself, boy, if they win this,
03:54 they're gonna change some thought processes around the league.
03:57 Maybe they should be looked at as contenders in the AFC and
04:00 challenging Kansas City here this year.
