00:00 I would like to reiterate that under the able leadership of His Excellency the President,
00:06 William Ruto, the Ministry remains well guided on the promotion, projection and protection
00:15 of Kenya's strategic interests in collaboration with our friends and partners.
00:24 In this respect, and in order to enhance and improve strategic coordination, the Government
00:32 has reviewed the decision that previously allowed diplomatic and consular missions,
00:39 UN agencies and international organizations to directly contact Government ministries,
00:46 departments and agencies.
00:49 Going forth, all correspondences with the Government shall be transmitted through the
00:55 Office of the Chief of Protocol, State Department of Foreign Affairs.
01:00 We believe that this review will allow for a more coherent approach to issues of mutual
01:11 concern and we seek your kind cooperation on this matter.
01:18 We will also refine the internal systems in the Ministry so that those hiccups that we
01:28 may have experienced shall be dealt with and we will have a more robust engagement.
01:37 Kenya has greatly invested in our bilateral relationships and partnerships.
01:44 Our bilateral relations are founded on historical ties, strong friendships, common values and
01:50 a shared desire for socio-economic progress.
01:54 I can assure you that we all value all of our bilateral relationships and are eager
02:02 to further strengthen ties with partners from Africa, Asia and Australasia, Europe, the
02:09 Americas and Latin America and the Middle East in a number of mutually beneficial sectors
02:17 that we have identified and are already working on.
