The Miami Dolphins have not secured a victory against a team with a winning record dating back to last season. SI hosts Robin Lundberg and Claudette Montana weigh in on the team's unusual losing streak and discuss whether it should raise concerns.

00:00 Miami Dolphins and the Kansas City Chiefs.
00:01 These two teams played each other in Germany,
00:04 a nice little international game.
00:06 Dolphins fell short.
00:07 What did this loss say about the team?
00:10 - Well, it says the Dolphins are frauds.
00:11 I mean, when it really comes down to it.
00:13 They're an entertaining team.
00:14 They're a good team.
00:16 They've got a lot of things that are fun to watch.
00:18 You know, Mike McDaniel is an entertaining coach,
00:21 a likable coach.
00:22 Tyreek Hill is unlike anything we've ever seen
00:25 at the wide receiver position.
00:26 But when the going gets tough,
00:29 they're not able to adapt to getting punched in the mouth.
00:32 That's when that video game controller offense
00:34 gets unplugged.
00:35 Tuatunga Valoa is a really good quarterback on schedule.
00:39 You take him off schedule, he's not gonna improvise.
00:42 What makes his game is timing, accuracy.
00:44 He's not gonna take off and run and make things happen.
00:47 He's not gonna make things out of nothing that aren't there.
00:51 You know, they lost a little bit with the injury
00:53 in the running game earlier this year,
00:55 but I don't think it's a coincidence.
00:56 Every time they face a real team, they come up short.
01:01 And this isn't, you know,
01:02 the smallest sample size in the world anymore.
01:04 I think it's three games this year.
01:06 But you're going back more than a calendar year
01:09 since they beat a team with a winning record.
01:11 The Bills, I believe in September of 2022.
01:14 So in order to win the Super Bowl,
01:17 you're going to have to beat
01:18 several of those teams consecutively.
01:21 Until I see that from the Dolphins,
01:23 I can't take them seriously.
01:26 - I think we're really gonna call them frauds though
01:27 after we were just talking about Tyreek Hill
01:30 being a potential MVP candidate a couple of weeks ago.
01:32 I don't think they're frauds.
01:33 - I still think he is, by the way.
01:34 I still think Tyreek Hill is a,
01:35 I think those two things don't have to,
01:38 you know, contradict each other.
01:40 - Okay, so I think that they're still a really great team.
01:42 They have a lot of good pieces,
01:43 obviously talented players, Tua, Tyreek.
01:46 But as you mentioned,
01:47 the last time they beat a winning team
01:48 was week three of 2022.
01:50 This season, they've lost to the Bills,
01:52 Eagles, and the Chiefs.
01:53 They wanna hang with the big dogs.
01:55 they gotta be able to win some of those games.
01:57 So the facts are the facts.
01:58 (whooshing)
