00:00 Welcome to WatchMojo, where today we'll be looking at the biggest bloodbaths in anime
00:09 history.
00:15 Number 10, Takamichi, Hakai and Mikey vs. Taiju, Tokyo Revengers.
00:25 Say what you will about Takamichi, but he sure knows how to take a punch. And yet, therein
00:30 lies the problem. Even with Hakai by his side, there's no way in hell they can stand up
00:35 to Taiju. But despite the odds, these two stubborn fools just won't stay down. Punch
00:41 after punch, fall after fall, they keep getting back up until the church is painted red around
00:47 them. At a certain point, it's hard to tell if these underdogs are dizzy from Taiju's
01:00 punches or the blood loss. Mikey eventually puts an end to things, but by then, Hakai
01:05 and Takamichi don't just need a break, they need a blood transfusion.
01:16 Number 9, Alucard vs. Luke, Hellsing Ultimate. Leave it to a vampire to make such a mess
01:23 of his meal. For what it's worth, Alucard did give Luke a chance to escape first. Granted,
01:29 that was only after he got rid of one of Luke's legs, but still. Once Alucard had his fun,
01:39 he fed the grovelling vampire to the wolves. Or in this case, the hellhounds. Luke's
01:44 screams prove that, as far as gory ends go, getting mauled by demonic dogs is pretty high
01:50 on the list. When it's all said and done, the poor guy is nothing more than a blood
02:00 stain on the ground. Ever the gentleman though, Alucard cleans up before moving on to his
02:06 next course.
02:14 Number 8, Imai vs. Akuya, Kengan Ashura. On definition alone, a deathmatch means someone's
02:22 leaving the ring in a body bag. That doesn't actually happen here, but Imai and Akuya come
02:27 pretty damn close. To start, these two punch so hard, they draw blood on impact alone.
02:38 But they don't just stop there. Instead, Imai and Akuya pull out all sorts of bites,
02:44 strangles and breaks too. Each one more gruesome than the last. It's a truly vicious affair,
02:58 not that we'd expect anything less from a duel between the king of stranglers and
03:03 the so-called executioner. The announcer had the right idea when he said that this isn't
03:13 even a match, it's a back and forth torture session.
03:17 Number 7, Jotaro vs. Kira, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Diamond is Unbreakable. Any time
03:31 Yoshikage Kira shows up, people tend to die, usually in explosive, splatter-heavy fashion.
03:37 But if this fight is any indication, Jotaro and Star Platinum are the exceptions. Although,
03:43 you probably couldn't tell based on the crime scene. The Joestar wanted to rough up Kira's
03:58 smug face, and by the time he's done, the serial killer doesn't have much of one left
04:02 at all. As if that's not bad enough, Kira later has to get rid of his own hand in order
04:07 to get away. With all the crimson carnage he left behind, it's a real miracle no one
04:12 had to be buried after this.
04:18 Number 6, Levi vs. Zeke, Attack on Titan. Captain Levi might be a neat freak, but he
04:24 sure wasn't afraid to get his hands dirty here. Although, to be fair, Zeke totally had
04:29 it coming. The prisoner turned a whole battalion of the Survey Corps into Titans, leaving Levi
04:35 alone, outnumbered, and seriously itching for a fight. What Zeke failed to realise is
04:48 just how much Levi hates losing. The captain seriously didn't hesitate staining his gear
04:54 red to catch up to the convict, and that's when the real fireworks began. After burning
05:04 the crook up from the inside with thunder spears, Levi personally pried Zeke's crispy
05:09 carcass out of the beast titan. Yep, it's as gross as it sounds.
05:19 Number 5, Eivor vs. Angels, Rebuild of Evangelion series. As it turns out, the worst part of
05:34 protecting Earth from heavenly threats isn't the fighting, it's the clean up. Sure, these
05:39 invaders are angels, but they bleed the same as anyone else. The only difference is that,
05:44 since they're certifiably massive, they have a lot more of it. And we do mean a lot.
05:55 Since the angels have a nasty habit of imploding when they're defeated, each victory is christened
06:00 with a downpour of angelic innards. Sometimes, it's enough to dye entire oceans, and even
06:05 flood cities too. It probably wasn't their intention, but one way or another, these angels
06:11 left their mark on the world.
06:22 Number 4, Slayers vs. Daki and Gyutaro, Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba. It's no hyperbole
06:28 to say that heads roll in this fight, as demons, the only way to kill Daki and Gyutaro is to
06:34 slice off their skulls at the same time. The Slayers, however, are much easier to take
06:39 down. As if to prove it, the demonic siblings pick apart the heroes like they're broken
06:48 action figures. Tengen loses his hand, Inosuke's stabbed through the stomach, and Tanjiro and
06:54 Zenitsu are just hanging on for dear life.
07:03 But after one hell of a last stand, it's the two demon's heads that end up on the
07:07 chopping block. Still, it's really saying something when a pair of decapitated craniums
07:12 aren't even the grisliest part of the scene.
07:24 Number 3, Denji vs. the Eternity Devil, Chainsaw Man. When a nasty curse traps him and his
07:40 squad in a time-slipped hotel, Denji decides to solve things with his fists. Or should
07:46 we say, his chainsaws. While the Eternity Devil can theoretically live forever, Denji
07:51 realises it can still feel pain. So, he starts sawing, and doesn't stop. He saws and saws
07:58 and saws, until he's practically swimming in a sea of devil guts. And then he saws some
08:03 more. The blood refuels Denji, and the devil's flesh automatically regenerates, creating
08:11 an endless cycle of gruesome butchery. If the Eternity Devil hadn't given up his heart
08:16 when he did, Denji would still be showering in blood to this day.
08:29 Number 2, The Band of the Hawk vs. the Apostles, Berserk. Don't be mistaken, this isn't
08:36 really a fight, it's a massacre. After being betrayed by their former leader Griffith,
08:41 the Band of the Hawk are branded as sacrifices for a merciless blood ritual. From there,
08:56 some of the main cast is devoured in some of the most vile, disgusting and blood-soaked
09:01 ways imaginable, and their captain, Guts, has to watch it all. He tries to save some
09:13 of them, but all it does is tint his skin scarlet. By the time it's over, you can
09:17 barely see Guts beneath all the remains. Suffice it to say, Griffith's betrayal left Guts
09:23 seeing red in more than a few ways.
09:46 Number 1, Koyomi vs. Kiss Shot, Kizumonogatari Part 3, Reiketsu. In a showdown that has to
09:59 be seen to be fully believed, this brawl doesn't stop after one death, or two, or even three.
10:05 These vampires just won't die, and it's not for a lack of trying. On the contrary,
10:10 Koyomi and Kiss Shot spend an entire uninterrupted scene doing nothing more but tearing off each
10:15 other's heads. But every time, they immediately heal, and the fight goes on. It's graphic
10:27 and over-the-top to the point of comedy. For reference, there's more blood spurts in
10:31 this one fight than the rest of the film series combined, and it's not even close. Talk
10:36 about having skin in the game. What's the grossest throwdown you've ever seen? If
