Red Cross Sounds Alarm on Gaza's Critical Healthcare Needs, Urges International Aid

The International Committee of the Red Cross said that the supply of essential medical supplies in Gaza's hospitals is "critically short" and that the scale of casualties has been "horrifying" for medical workers. Communication networks and internet services were completely cut off across the Gaza Strip according to the territory's largest telecom provider, further complicating the delivery of aid. The Rafah border crossing between Egypt and Gaza opened to allow foreigners and some injured people to evacuate from the Gaza Strip. This is the first time in weeks that people have been allowed to leave Gaza.
