00:00 We are Trial Collective. I'm James.
00:02 And I'm Jo.
00:03 And we specialise in sustainable fashion.
00:06 We're based in Henley, Leeds but we moved to the city centre at the end of November.
00:10 And we try to make it as easy as possible for our customers to shop sustainably.
00:14 There's different ways we do that.
00:16 We sell pre-loved clothing, we do mendings and alterations.
00:20 We also do upcycling, like what Jo's wearing now.
00:25 So we've been running for about two years and our main focus is upcycling.
00:30 As we believe that to be the most sustainable way of creating clothes.
00:33 One of our biggest current projects is upcycling tent fabrics.
00:38 When we got these tent fabrics from Leeds Festival, here's an example of one thing we do with it.
00:43 This is a laptop case taken from an abandoned tent.
00:47 The scale of tents which are left at Leeds Festival is mind-boggling.
00:51 So we wanted to stop as much of that going from landfill as possible.
00:55 Which means turning them into things which have a much longer lifespan than just one weekend.
