The Youth Pledge of 1928 is one of the most important events in the history of Indonesian independence. The event took place on October 28, 1928 at the Indonesische Clubgebouw, Jalan Kramat Raya 106, Batavia (now Jakarta).

The pledge was the result of the second Youth Congress organized by the Indonesian Student Association (PPPI). The congress was attended by various youth organizations from all over Indonesia, including Jong Java, Jong Sumatranen Bond, Jong Ambon, Jong Celebes, Jong Batak, Jong Islamieten Bond, and Sekar Rukun.

At the congress, Indonesian youth pledged to:

Admit to having one homeland, Indonesia.
Admit to having one nation, Indonesia.
Uphold the national language, Indonesian.
This pledge is known as the Youth Pledge. The Youth Pledge was a major turning point in the process of Indonesian independence. The pledge united Indonesian youth from various backgrounds to fight together for independence.
