00:00 Supporting local business is so important, and why not support a bunch of them all at one time?
00:06 Local First Arizona is hosting Arizona Fall Fest this weekend with over 200 local vendors.
00:11 I'm here with Thomas Barr to find out all about the festival. Thomas, thanks for being here.
00:15 Thank you, we're so excited.
00:17 This is a great festival, so for everybody who is looking to go out this weekend,
00:22 give us a little overview on what they're going to see.
00:23 So this is the 17th year we've put on this event, and the action just doesn't stop.
00:27 Every single year, we've got over 200 vendors coming to downtown Phoenix this Saturday,
00:33 November 4th. It's going to be a blast. It's free, family-friendly, dog-friendly.
00:37 We're selling these t-shirts, "The Day Of," "Local is My Favorite Brand."
00:40 It's going to be a ton of fun.
00:42 I love that. Yes, so I was asking about your shirt because this is so great.
00:45 It's not just a traditional cactus. It's a little bit different,
00:48 and it obviously has your guys' branding on there.
00:51 Really, really cool. You can get those, but you can buy all kinds of stuff.
00:54 I mean, over 200 vendors.
00:57 Yeah. We're going to have a food court, which is new this year,
01:00 over 15 food trucks, and then other pop-up tent vendors,
01:04 a ton of different types of cuisine that you can come and taste and try.
01:07 We've got a kid's zone with a bunch of fun stuff, a bounce house, all that kind of stuff,
01:11 and then tons of vendors selling different types of things, everything from small boutiques to artists.
01:18 We've also got our beer and wine garden that's got all local brews and wineries
01:22 and six bands playing throughout the day, so there's something for everybody.
01:25 Oh, my gosh. This sounds like a fantastic event. Free admission.
01:28 Free, yes.
01:29 That's so great. So you can go down, you can shop, you can get food, you can enjoy the music.
01:34 You can just kind of hang out. It's finally the weather has turned,
01:36 so you can just go and enjoy, and it's at Margaret T. Hance Park.
01:40 Yes.
01:41 So you can just go out, enjoy, hang out, and yeah, get your t-shirt.
01:45 Tell me a little bit more. I mean, obviously listen to the music, obviously shop,
01:49 and just kind of support local vendors.
01:51 Yeah, we've got some unique kind of pop-up things happening this year,
01:54 which is different. We're going to have some, actually some yoga classes happening right on the
01:58 grass, so you don't even have to bring your mat. You can just come out. You can sign up for a class
02:02 beforehand. We've got some cool stuff. We've got a partnership actually with Waymo this year.
02:07 You can jump in one of those driverless cars and come down to the festival, experience that yourself.
02:12 And just a ton of new vendors this year, I would say. A lot of people come to this event year over
02:18 year, and I would say about 50 of our vendors, this is their first time coming out to the event.
02:25 So all of these young entrepreneurs that have been starting businesses over the last few years,
02:30 this is going to be their first time coming out. So lots of new food to try,
02:34 lots of new businesses to buy things from. There's just going to be a ton of fun stuff out on Saturday.
02:39 So even if you've been there before, you have to come again this year because there's new
02:42 stuff going on. There's also going to be a silent auction.
02:45 Yes, we have a silent auction. There are a ton of cool things. D-BAC's dugout tickets for 2024.
02:51 So if you're watching the playoffs right now, get ready for next season. We've got tickets to
02:56 Devour Culinary Classic for next year. A ton of things. You can start bidding now. It's actually
03:02 live online right now. Oh, that's awesome. So go to the website right there. It's on the screen.
03:07 You can start bidding now. You can get all the information. Starts at 10, goes until 4,
03:12 and it's free. This is such an awesome event. And you're obviously supporting local,
03:17 which is what we love. We love it. Bring the kids, bring the dogs, have a good time.
03:20 All right, Thomas. Well, this sounds great. Guys, get out there. Enjoy this weather.
03:25 Take a yoga class. Get some food and buy from local. This is really awesome. Thanks, Thomas.
