00:04 Bartender, we're going to make a bottle fly.
00:07 Yes, our experiment has something to do with paint.
00:11 Welcome to the Billingham Balls Sour Gourd Fry!
00:16 So now, we're going to put the ping pong ball on top of the bottle filled with water.
00:21 I know a do-it-yourself prosthetic.
00:25 Hey, that's not fair!
00:26 A different face, scary or scary?
00:30 Good morning, iBelievers!
00:34 Let's start this amazing morning.
00:38 Let's welcome our iBelievers, Kuya James!
00:40 Jacksec!
00:43 And Ate Vanessa!
00:45 Alright!
00:46 Moshi Moshi!
00:47 Guys, are you ready?
00:48 Yes!
00:49 And the star of this morning is a master bartender.
00:55 This is Ritchie Cruz, a bartender extraordinaire.
00:59 National champion of various competitions.
01:02 For him, bartending is a combination of skill and art.
01:06 From mixing drinks to serving.
01:09 Hi, iBelievers! I'm Ritchie, a certified master bartender.
01:12 Are you ready to believe?
01:13 I'm curious, what's the difference between regular bartending and flair bartending?
01:20 This is our job as bartenders.
01:23 How to make drinks, how to slice, set up the bar, entertain the guests.
01:29 But flair bartending is the extra skill of a bartender.
01:33 A special talent.
01:36 So, can we start with flair bartending?
01:41 Kuya James!
01:43 One of Ritchie's servings is a non-alcoholic drink.
01:47 Yes! We won't get drunk here.
01:50 I'm surprised, I'm not used to it.
01:52 And then, this is also like flair.
01:57 So, what I'll do is what I call rolling.
01:59 We roll it so that we don't have to shake it, but we aerate the liquid.
02:07 So that our juices don't get too cloudy.
02:12 [music]
02:20 There it is.
02:21 Wow!
02:23 Flair bartending is the practice of bartenders in manipulating bar tools
02:29 like cocktail shakers, bottles, and glasses
02:32 to season the drink and present it to the customer.
02:36 Is there science in this?
02:37 Of course, there is.
02:40 Physics or the study of matter and its motion.
02:43 The moves that are usually done are flipping and juggling.
02:47 There are two forces that are against anything that is shaken in the air.
02:52 This is gravity and air resistance.
02:54 So that the glass or bottle doesn't fall right away, momentum is needed.
02:59 This is the product of the mass and speed of a moving object.
03:03 That's why it's important for the bartender to estimate the weight of the object he will shake
03:08 so that he can control the speed of its movement in the air.
03:11 The heavier, the more force is needed to move faster.
03:16 I believe.
03:17 Guys, are you ready for our first experiment?
03:20 Yes!
03:22 Okay, let's go.
03:23 Experiment Zion!
03:25 Now, you can paint on the paper.
03:29 Yellow.
03:31 Okay, I have a question for you guys.
03:35 What color
03:37 is the result of mixing the three primary colors?
03:42 Black.
03:44 It's really black.
03:45 It's black, right?
03:46 Yes.
03:47 It's dark.
03:48 Now, Ate Thea has three glow sticks.
03:52 The first one we will mix is red.
03:55 So, the colors that Ate Thea mixed are from these glow sticks.
04:00 Next is blue.
04:05 We will mix the last color.
04:07 Green.
04:10 And we will mix it.
04:12 Hello, hello.
04:13 Dim lights, please.
04:15 I have a power.
04:16 Kids, what color do you see?
04:18 Light pink.
04:19 I will get a tissue paper and I will dip it in our mixture.
04:25 Just a little bit.
04:27 That's right, kids. What color do you see?
04:30 White.
04:33 What will you say in our experiment?
04:35 It's not true!
04:39 The reason why red paint is red is because it absorbs blue and green lights
04:47 and it reflects the red light.
04:50 The principle of green paint is the same.
04:53 It absorbs the other colored light and it reflects the green light.
04:58 Same logic for the blue paint.
05:01 When red, green, and blue paints are mixed,
05:04 the light has to go through many layers of paint.
05:08 But mixed paint absorbed all the colors of the light
05:12 and there was no reflected light,
05:14 that's why it turned out black.
05:16 Actually, it's cyan instead of blue.
05:19 Magenta instead of red, and yellow is the correct name of the three primary colors of pigments.
05:27 When the three colors of light are mixed, the result is not black but reddish white.
05:33 There is red dye or coloring in the red glow stick.
05:37 The red dye absorbs blue and green light.
05:41 The solution is to absorb the red dye so that its effect is gone.
05:46 That's why we dipped the paper towel and the result is pure white.
05:52 Colored light behaves differently from colored pigments
05:56 because our eyes have three kinds of cone cells or sensors.
06:02 Welcome to the Bilibang Balls Shower Surprise!
06:07 So now, we will put the ping pong ball on top of a bottle full of water.
06:12 I have a plant that is a do-it-yourself prosthetic.
06:16 It has a different face.
06:18 It's scary or it's scary.
06:24 Bilibang Balls!
06:27 Miss, Miss, excuse me.
06:46 Why are you hitting us?
06:48 Don't you know us? We are the hosts of iBilib.
06:52 You don't know this?
06:54 Fresh from Starstruck, Danny Porter!
06:58 Welcome to Bilibang Balls Shower Surprise!
07:04 I will play now.
07:06 This is my friend, Vina.
07:09 She's strong, guys.
07:12 This is Jen.
07:14 You are sitting under an upside-down bottle of water.
07:20 This is covered with a thin cling film.
07:22 We will put the cling film on it little by little.
07:26 At first, you will feel a splash of water.
07:30 But if you hold it for a long time, it will be a surprise shower.
07:34 Oh!
07:36 Excited!
07:38 Oh!
07:40 Nothing, nothing, nothing.
07:43 Oh, my!
07:45 I'm nervous.
07:49 She's a bit happy.
07:50 Yes!
07:52 I'm getting wet.
07:56 This is fun.
07:58 Who will go first?
08:01 Vina is the first.
08:06 It's clear that Jen's cling film will go first.
08:10 So, our winner is Vina!
08:16 To counteract gravity, there are three forces acting here.
08:19 First, cohesion.
08:21 This is the attraction of the two molecules to each other.
08:25 The water molecule is made of H2O.
08:28 Two atoms of hydrogen are attached to one atom of oxygen.
08:33 Cohesion is the reason for the hydrogen bond to all water molecules.
08:39 That's why the water didn't pour immediately in the first holes of the cling film.
08:46 Adhesion is the attraction of the different molecules to each other.
08:51 Water molecules are also attached to the cling film and the container.
08:56 The last force is air pressure.
08:59 The cling film pushes up the air.
09:02 At sea level, this is 14.7 pounds per square inch.
09:06 But, this has a limit.
09:08 If there are too many holes, it will be crushed by the force of gravity.
09:14 Thank you, Kuya Chris, and thank you to Jen and Vina.
09:17 Here they are!
09:19 Wet, not in the rain.
09:22 But, in the water from the scientific experiment.
09:25 Here in I Believe!
09:28 So, now we will put the ping pong ball on top of the bottle full of water.
09:33 I have a knowledge of do-it-yourself prosthetics.
09:37 It's a different face.
09:39 It's scary or it's scary.
09:43 [music]
09:44 Kuya Chris, Ate, we have an experiment for you.
09:48 Experiment Zion!
09:51 We need a bottle without a lid, then a ping pong ball, then water.
09:56 The bottle needs to be full of water.
09:59 And of course, we need to make it so that it won't spill.
10:04 So, now we will put the ping pong ball on top of the bottle full of water.
10:10 [music]
10:20 There it is!
10:22 [cheering]
10:24 I Believe!
10:26 Air is made up of air molecules.
10:29 The weight of these molecules hitting the Earth is called air pressure.
10:36 Air pressure at sea level is the strongest and it weakens as you go to higher places like the top of a mountain.
10:44 Normal air pressure at sea level is 14.7 psi or pounds per square inch.
10:51 This means that if you are in a low place,
10:54 the pressure of 14.7 pounds per square inch is the same as the pressure of the sea level.
11:01 The force that pushes the ping pong ball is that strong to counter the effect of gravity on the water inside the bottle upside down.
11:09 I Believe!
11:11 [screaming]
11:15 [music]
11:30 [music]
11:36 Is it scary?
11:38 Don't be scared because all of this is just a makeup.
11:43 [music]
11:46 Hi, I Believe-ers! I am Chris Oliveras, a makeup illusionist.
11:51 Chris, how did you learn to make a makeup illusion?
11:56 I've always loved drawing since I was a kid. And out of curiosity, I tried to make a new canvas using my face and new art.
12:05 I don't have a special course or proper training in makeup, but I developed my talent by practicing every week.
12:14 Can you show us how you make your makeup illusion?
12:18 Sure, please. Here are the tools I use.
12:23 [music]
12:26 Hi guys! We should have taken a shower and we should be ready to go.
12:29 For our first step, we need to apply makeup primer and make sure to apply moisturizer before putting any makeup on.
12:37 [music]
12:40 Second is, I will apply makeup such as foundation, contour, and eyeshadow.
12:45 [music]
12:48 How long have you been doing this?
12:52 I've been doing this for 3 years.
12:54 I also used my talent in makeup to earn while I was studying.
12:59 I have clients who are more on natural or glam makeup.
13:04 I earn around P800 to P1,000 per service.
13:08 Next, I will apply mascara to make my face look wider.
13:13 To apply mascara, I use a glue called eyelash glue.
13:19 It is commonly used to attach eyelashes.
13:22 When the mascara settles on my face, I will apply liquid latex to make the transition seamless.
13:29 I will also add a new texture.
13:32 I also used a tissue paper to make the horror makeup look more dimensional.
13:38 When the liquid latex and tissue mixture on my face and mascara has settled and dried,
13:44 I will start to do the details of my horror makeup look.
13:48 Watch closely.
13:49 There, it looks like it's almost done.
13:52 [music]
13:55 [car engine]
14:02 You're so cool, right? I'm the only one here. Are you beautiful?
14:06 The makeup art that Chris is doing is an optical illusion
14:13 or a real thing that is impossible to happen or see in reality.
14:18 Often, optical illusions are just a hoax
14:22 because it makes the mind believe in a different image seen by the eyes.
14:28 It is not easy to create this kind of art
14:31 because you need to have enough knowledge in using colors, lights, and patterns
14:39 to create an image that gives a different interpretation to our eyes and mind.
14:45 I believe.
14:47 I know a new do-it-yourself prosthetic.
14:51 Chris, help me.
14:55 Why?
14:57 There's a trick or treat for us.
14:59 The one with the best look has a prize.
15:02 Why? Your look is good.
15:06 But we want to add more blood and effects so we can win, right?
15:11 It's so creepy.
15:13 It's so scary.
15:15 The truth, kids.
15:17 I'm doing something.
15:21 I think we're being heard.
15:23 I know a cheap, simple, and safe do-it-yourself prosthetic.
15:30 I'll go first.
15:32 You're so fast.
15:35 Who wants to go first?
15:36 Me!
15:38 Rain, you go first.
15:40 Sorry.
15:42 This is safe because we'll only use glue, powder, and eyeshadow.
15:46 Let's start with the glue.
15:48 Let's apply it so that this will be the base of our wound.
15:53 So that it looks real, like 3D.
15:57 Let's add chunks of glue.
16:02 Then, we'll add powder.
16:07 This is just face powder. You can use any powder.
16:10 Glue stick, face powder.
16:12 Is there more?
16:14 No.
16:16 Next, red eyeshadow.
16:19 To add more color.
16:22 So that it looks like sugar.
16:24 I'll add more color.
16:26 I'll add more color.
16:28 A little makeup, powder, and glue.
16:36 What's this?
16:38 We'll add this so that it has an added effect.
16:42 We'll have a blood effect.
16:44 We learned the primary colors.
16:47 I thought it was real blood.
16:50 It looks real.
16:53 Let's add more.
16:54 There.
16:57 That's great.
17:00 It looks like sugar.
17:04 Thank you guys for joining us.
17:07 Thank you.
17:09 You're partial.
17:11 To our iBelievers, thank you.
17:14 I hope you enjoyed.
17:16 We'll see you next week.
