00:00 One of the things that I really like in the day
00:03 that I either do in the morning,
00:05 but I tend to do at the end of the day,
00:07 is the thank you moment.
00:09 And I was taught by great mentors
00:11 of the power of sending a thank you note.
00:14 A lot of those notes are text or emails
00:18 or small phone calls.
00:20 But it's really important for me the moment of thank you
00:24 because I know what it is to receive a thank you.
00:26 But then frankly, it reminds me every day
00:30 that we ought to be thankful.
00:33 And I wanna be a generous leader.
00:34 The way I remind myself is by recognizing
00:38 the generosity of others.
00:40 And when I think about what keeps me motivated,
00:42 it's really making sure that what we do matters,
00:46 but how we do is how we will be remembered.
00:49 Every day I think about how am I doing it
00:52 and is it the right way to do it?
00:55 And when I get struck every day and go back and say,
00:59 who really exemplified that to me
01:01 and who should I thank for their contribution
01:04 to my life or to the life of the organization,
01:06 it's a good way to remind ourselves
01:09 that we can do great every day.
