00:06 The Israeli government promised a long-term assistance to the four Filipinos who were killed in the attack of the Hamas group.
00:17 We have the first news from Sandra Aguinaldo.
00:23 The government of the Philippines and Israel has promised that they will not only provide a short-term assistance to the families of the four Filipinos who were killed in Israel.
00:33 According to the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, OOWA Administrator Arnel Ignacio,
00:39 the Israeli Embassy told him.
00:42 Aside from helping with burial and mourning expenses,
00:46 the families will receive monthly support and annual cash benefit.
00:52 They are treated like an Israeli citizen.
00:56 So whatever benefit an Israeli citizen gets, that's what they will receive.
01:03 Ignacio gave an example of a family who lost a caregiver, Loretta Alacre, who died in the attack of Hamas.
01:10 The consul told me that until the relatives of the family are buried, the family will receive the money.
01:19 The Israeli Embassy said that they will not let the Filipinos who were killed and wounded in the war of Israel and Hamas go.
01:27 According to Ignacio, there are 58 Filipinos who will return to the Philippines from Israel on Monday, October 30.
01:34 In Lebanon, there are already 144 people who have requested to return to the Philippines
01:41 due to the chaos in southern Lebanon between Israel and Hezbollah.
01:46 To those who have returned, OOWA will give 50,000 pesos,
01:51 a business loan and free training for livelihood.
01:55 The Israeli Ambassador to the Philippines, Ilan Fluz, signed a contract
01:59 to give their government assistance to the families of foreign nationals, including Filipinos.
02:05 The Israeli government will recognize them as victims of terrorism.
02:10 And for that, they will be receiving assistance, either the parents, the spouses or the children, accordingly.
02:19 Financial assistance on their monthly income, if they need assistance in education, in healthcare,
02:25 including sometimes a grant for housing, as long as they are in Israel documented.
02:33 Ambassador Fluz visited the gathering of businessmen in the Israel Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines.
02:40 At the opening of the program in a hotel in Makati,
02:43 the portrait of the dead Hamas was surrounded and in front of it was the portrait of the four dead Filipinos.
