00:11 Northumbria Police's Crime Department led a string of raids across South Shields following
00:16 reports of a number of people being held against their will.
00:20 Officers will remain in the area to continue their inquiries.
00:24 The Northumbria Police and Crime Commissioner, Kim McGuinness, has announced plans to deploy
00:27 police drones to help track down criminals.
00:31 The aid devices will be available to use 24/7 and will be used for pre-planned policing
00:36 operations and for incidents.
00:38 And finally, a new pay offer for Go North East bus drivers will be voted on ahead of
00:42 indefinite strike action.
00:44 Members of the Unite Union announced strike action from this weekend due to pay disputes.
00:49 But if this deal goes through, the strike may be called off.
