Kaleidoscope Home Entertainment has released the trailer and poster for new music documentary Duran Duran: A Hollywood High, which is coming to UK Digital Download from 6th November.
Contrary to their iconic lyrics, they are not living in a pop trash movie - rather, they're starring in a feature-length docu-concert, a testament to their fame, which has lasted much longer than a few minutes...
Directed by three award-winning industry veterans Gavin Elder, (David Gilmour: Live At Pompeii, Duran Duran: Five Years), Vincent Adam Paul (The Red Hot Chili Peppers Live from the Pyramids, American Music Spotlight) and George Scott (American Masters, Buddy Holly: Rave On), this show-stopping feature explores Duran Duran’s four-decade-long career, their ongoing love affair with the city of Los Angeles, and the band’s meteoric rise to fame. A Hollywood High is produced by George Elizondo (Rogue).
With exclusive new interviews, including memories of the early years and anecdotes about LA, unseen archival footage, behind-the-scenes video, and featuring a legendary 40th-anniversary rooftop set filmed live at The Aster in Los Angeles with the iconic Capitol Records Tower (the band’s original record label home) as a backdrop, the film provides an opportunity for fans across the globe to share a unique live experience from a front-row perspective, and partake in a true celebration of one of the most influential and successful music groups of all time.
The release of A Hollywood High follows a wave of landmark achievements for Duran Duran: their 2022 induction into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame marked a career peak after headlining London’s Hyde Park, performing at the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Concert at Buckingham Palace, closing the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games in their home town of Birmingham, launching a global world tour and releasing one of their most critically acclaimed albums to date, their 15th studio album Future Past.
