00:11 In the centre of the inauguration of the candidate for the Suara Bintulu Council,

00:14 the PRK Don Jepak, Zaynudin Abang Turki,

00:18 announced the acceptance of the nomination papers from the Iskandar Turki 54-year-old GPS candidate,

00:24 the Aspiration candidate, Chiang Lea Ping, 65 years old and the PBK candidate, Stevenson Joseph Sumbang, 42 years old.

00:31 First, the election commission announced that of the 22,804 candidates registered in Jepak,

00:38 22,761 were ordinary voters and 43 were police officers.

00:45 According to a report, Minister of Justice Fadhila Yusof, who is also the head of WIPJPS,

00:51 said the nomination papers were left without a vote,

00:54 but President of the PBK, Von Nishan, said it was a step to let the GPS get the PRK Jepak

01:00 without a vote, which could kill democracy.

01:04 The nomination papers were empty following the death of his candidate, Talib Zulphilip, on 15 September.
