00:00 Welcome back, ghouls and goblins!
00:07 (Evil Laugh)
00:09 Let's have some fun!
00:11 So we left off at the entrance to the Cholkadi Cave.
00:24 Let's see if we can get in.
00:26 (Evil Laugh)
00:28 See, I knew it. We can get in through the eyes.
00:41 Um, and I think I need a wizard for levitate.
00:47 Oh, damn.
00:49 And I don't think I have any more jump.
00:51 (Epic Music)
01:09 Yeah, I think I left my jump files in the other temple.
01:15 Damn!
01:19 Oh, well.

02:44 You know what, I'm no longer going to mark keys that open up a door that's right beside them.
03:08 I mean, not keys, but you know, buttons, because it's useless.

03:36 (Eerie Music)
03:38 One of these walls seems, well, unusual.
03:47 Perhaps a closer examination is in order.

11:50 Ooh, a new guy to meet.
12:02 (Sigh)
12:04 Okay, well I don't want to
12:06 lose the troll, so I'm going to save.

12:24 (Eerie Music)
12:26 Mr. Tubbs,
12:28 what creature are you?
12:30 For by the gods,
12:32 no villager would lurk in these unholy depths.
12:34 (Eerie Music)
12:36 Men haunt their hovels,
12:38 the beasts their lairs.
12:40 These chill walls
12:42 call to me.
12:44 Home, they whisper softly.
12:46 You are home.
12:48 Who am I
12:50 to argue with walls?
12:52 And if I am to be cursed,
12:54 what matters the location?
12:56 If you must have a logic
12:58 to my appearance here,
13:00 it is this.
13:02 I have no need
13:04 to frighten the villagers of Muhar.
13:06 Their lives are curse enough.
13:08 Their lives are curse enough.
13:10 (Eerie Music)
13:12 (Eerie Music)
13:14 Abby,
13:16 perhaps to be in Harakir
13:18 at all is to be cursed.
13:20 In which case,
13:22 we share your fate.
13:24 Of what special nature is this curse you bear?
13:26 And Mr. Tubbs says,
13:28 you appear as frightful as any curse.
13:30 Forgive us if we stand ready to
13:32 offend ourselves.
13:34 I'm going to say Abby first.
13:36 A coarse fate
13:38 to awaken from death
13:40 with a curse such as this.
13:42 Undead,
13:44 I shall remain until I gain
13:46 vengeance on he who
13:48 put me in this state.
13:50 I cannot finally
13:52 fully die until the deed
13:54 is done.
13:56 Special nature, you ask?
13:58 Is this fate of mine
14:00 not special?
14:02 Does it not warrant the contempt
14:04 in which I hold it?
14:06 I met death bravely.
14:08 Yes, even I will say it
14:10 as a champion.
14:12 For who would see such goodness
14:14 in my eyes today?
14:16 (Eerie Music)
14:18 (Eerie Music)
14:20 (Eerie Music)
14:22 Defend what you will.
14:24 Strike me down
14:26 and I shall return to this
14:28 unlife within half a day.
14:30 I have no stomach
14:32 to battle the likes of you.
14:34 I too was once
14:36 a stranger in Har'Akir.
14:38 One of a band of adventurers.
14:40 Gloriantha
14:42 was my name.
14:44 We were caught up
14:46 in the mists which brought us here.
14:48 Ah,
14:50 such a company
14:52 of brave hearts.
14:54 One among them,
14:56 heart to my heart,
14:58 his blood
15:00 beating in a rhythm to match
15:02 my own. I...
15:04 I can
15:06 always remember his
15:08 eyes.
15:10 (Eerie Music)
15:12 (Eerie Music)
15:14 Mr. Tubbs,
15:16 as he's both,
15:18 I'll choose the
15:20 first one first
15:22 when I speak to him.
15:24 A curse indeed, from champion
15:26 to the ranks of the wretched undead.
15:28 How might we avoid
15:30 this fate? And then,
15:32 what happened to your fellows
15:34 and to this one with which you saw
15:36 eye to eye?
15:38 Har'Akir
15:40 decides the fate of those
15:42 within her borders.
15:44 Still, if you would
15:46 fare better, avoid
15:48 Sen'net.
15:50 They were his fierce eyes
15:52 last looked into mine.
15:54 That tattered soul wrapped in
15:56 his mummy's garb, took me into
15:58 his clutches and then...
16:00 When I awoke,
16:02 well,
16:04 what remains
16:06 of the fighter I was stands
16:08 before you.
16:10 My hero's heart lies
16:12 still within this
16:14 corrupt flesh.
16:16 (Eerie Music)
16:18 The desert
16:20 takes its toll.
16:22 The band dwindled.
16:24 But two remained
16:26 when Sen'net appeared before us.
16:28 If only
16:30 we had made one turn
16:32 and not another, gone anywhere
16:34 rather than to that place.
16:36 For we might...
16:38 (Eerie Music)
16:40 Oh, that sucks.
16:42 Um...
16:44 It killed out.
16:46 I'm gonna reload
16:48 the save file
16:50 and get back to that place.
16:52 Uh, so
16:54 I'm going to
16:56 pause it and
16:58 I'll get back to it
17:00 when I get there. It should not have killed out.
17:02 The audio should not have killed out on that.
17:04 (Eerie Music)
17:06 Harakir
17:08 decides the fate of those within
17:10 her borders. Still,
17:12 if you would fare better,
17:14 avoid Sen'net.
17:16 They were his
17:18 fierce eyes last looked into mine.
17:20 That tattered soul
17:22 wrapped in mummy's garb
17:24 took me into his clutches and then...
17:26 When I awoke...
17:28 Well...
17:30 What remains of the
17:32 fighter I was stands before you.
17:34 My hero's heart
17:36 lies still
17:38 within this corrupt flesh.
17:40 (Eerie Music)
17:42 The desert takes its toll.
17:48 The band dwindled.
17:50 But two remained
17:52 when Sen'net appeared before us.
17:54 If only
17:56 we had made one turn
17:58 and not another, gone anywhere
18:00 rather than to that place.
18:02 For we, my friend and I,
18:04 had found a way out of Harakir.
18:06 We uncovered a scroll,
18:08 one known as the Scroll of Return.
18:10 (Eerie Music)
18:16 There we go.
18:18 Uh, Mr. Tubbs,
18:20 Sen'net, what creature in Harakir
18:22 bears this name?
18:24 And also, Mr. Tubbs, a Scroll of Return.
18:26 What happened to this marvelous
18:28 instrument?
18:30 Sen'net is no creature
18:34 excepted his heart, his eyes,
18:36 and the evil which lurks
18:38 in every sinew of his being.
18:40 Once a child of Alctapoth,
18:42 Sen'net turned against
18:44 the lord who made him.
18:46 That is, he conspired
18:48 with the priestess of Set.
18:50 Together they planned to rule
18:52 in place of Alctapoth.
18:54 So the story is told.
18:56 It is a tale I would end
18:58 if I could free myself
19:00 from the bonds of this
19:02 undead decay by destroying Sen'net.
19:04 So I'm going to grab her since I'm done
19:12 with the troll guy.
19:14 And obviously we have to attack Sen'net
19:16 and what not.
19:18 I cannot say.
19:22 If you recall
19:24 my fate, I died
19:26 at Sen'net's hand.
19:28 Perhaps my friend escaped.
19:30 Perhaps he left the scroll
19:32 to its final test.
19:34 I have always imagined that
19:36 he made it home.
19:40 You appear
19:42 capable enough to these eyes.
19:44 Why have you not sought your vengeance upon the evil
19:46 Sen'net?
19:48 If only I had
19:50 the power. Formidable
19:52 I may be, and fear
19:54 I know nothing of.
19:56 Yet I know my limitations.
19:58 The energy
20:00 of Sen'net cannot be crushed
20:02 to blackness by me alone.
20:04 Oh, what a
20:06 vision! The righteous
20:08 destruction of Sen'net.
20:10 It would end
20:12 my misery, free my soul
20:14 from this revenant guise.
20:16 If I could reach out
20:18 and grasp such a prize.
20:20 Abby,
20:28 if you prove as fierce
20:30 in battle as with words,
20:32 if you
20:34 prove as fierce in battle
20:36 as with words, you shall make
20:38 a valuable partner. Will you join us?
20:40 As you once did,
20:42 we too may chance upon
20:44 Sen'net. Mr. Tubbs, we wish
20:46 you no harm then. It is time we went
20:48 about our own business. We regret
20:50 we cannot help you in your troubles.
20:52 I'm going to choose the last one just to see
20:54 what she says, but obviously I'm going
20:56 to pick her up.
20:58 Great thing about this game is that you can
21:00 always come back and pick people up.
21:02 So,
21:04 yeah.
21:06 Yeah, because
21:10 I want to kill the troll king
21:12 and then dump little troll
21:14 man and I'll come back and pick her up.
21:16 In your patience, you have given me a great gift.
21:18 You have listened to the story of an undead creature.
21:20 And for that you deserve my thanks.
21:22 Should you once again venture this way,
21:24 I shall be waiting.
21:26 Perhaps at another time,
21:28 we might join together again, Sen'net.
21:30 Perhaps at another time,
21:32 we might join together again, Sen'net.
21:34 Perhaps at another time,
21:36 we might join together again, Sen'net.
21:38 Perhaps at another time,
21:40 we might join together again, Sen'net.
21:42 Perhaps at another time,
21:44 we might join together again, Sen'net.

37:17 - All right, everybody, that's a good place to stop.
37:20 We finished level one of the troll thing,
37:24 all except for the secret entrances in the eyes
37:28 and that one area.
37:31 I think the secret entrances in the eyes
37:33 go to like level two instead of the basement one.
37:37 But we still have that one giant area
37:41 that's a room in the bottom right-hand corner.
37:46 I may have to look through a walkthrough
37:47 in order to figure out the button to open that.
37:50 Who knows?
37:51 I'll explore first before I look for any secrets.
37:53 I know that a lot of secrets are not recorded online
37:59 'cause I've gone to a couple walkthrough locations
38:03 and they don't have 'em.
38:04 And yes, I know that when I was doing Ravenloft,
38:09 I was convinced that there was a way
38:12 to get into that one secret area in the Iblis Caves.
38:16 I still think I got there once, but I must be mistaken
38:21 because I searched that place up and down
38:24 even after I did the recordings and I could not find it.
38:27 So I think it was like a staging area at the very end,
38:33 or maybe it was just a giant hole to confuse people.
38:37 Either way, I know that this one area
38:40 definitely is something that can be opened up in level one,
38:46 but we're gonna finish basement level first
38:50 before I go through 'cause it may be one of those situations
38:53 where you can only get to it from another exit
38:57 in another part of the dungeon.
39:00 Anyway, I hope all of you had fun listening to it.
39:04 Music was more consistent in this dungeon
39:08 than the previous dungeon where it was just like nothing.
39:11 (laughs)
39:13 But that's how these games were sometimes.
39:17 I still love this game.
39:18 I hope you do too.
39:19 I've often considered programming
39:26 a first-person game like this, just to have some fun,
39:30 but we'll see.
39:32 Anyway, take care, everybody.
39:33 Love you all, bye.
