00:11 we actually got a ton of official new dates

00:13 from Marvel Studios for 2024 and 2025,

00:16 but it's solely focused on the Disney+ release shows.

00:19 On the other hand, and for theatrical releases,

00:21 because we didn't get an SDCC or a D23,

00:24 and because the actors are still on strike,

00:26 there is no telling when we're finally gonna find out

00:29 what Marvel's planning on doing in 2024,

00:31 leaving a lot of the industry insiders to say it's possible

00:34 we'll only see one film in Captain America 4,

00:37 Brave New World.

00:38 Well, today we have a breaking report

00:40 from a trusted editorial, and according to their sources,

00:43 it is all good news for Deadpool 3,

00:45 really the state of the rest of the industry

00:47 as they brace for the actors to resolve the strike.

00:49 We're breaking down the latest news

00:51 as it relates to the release date for Deadpool 3.

01:29 last we heard from Marvel Studios very early this year,

01:32 they actually moved Deadpool 3 up to May 3rd of 2024,

01:36 and sent the movie to filming

01:38 in the face of a pending actor strike.

01:40 Now, when the actor strike shut down all of Hollywood,

01:42 including the Deadpool 3 shoot,

01:44 it was reported that DP3 could only suffer

01:47 about a month worth of delay to filming

01:49 before there's no way it would hit

01:51 that May 3rd release date,

01:52 and what a lot of us,

01:53 the industry insiders reporting on this,

01:55 sort of hoped for, fingers crossed,

01:57 was they would just slide it back

01:58 into the November release date.

02:00 We'd still get it next year if they could finish it,

02:02 but just towards the end of the year.

02:04 Well, today, the Wrap reported in an exclusive

02:06 that Deadpool 3 is going to maintain

02:09 its May 3rd release date.

02:11 It basically went on to say that according to their sources,

02:14 when Hollywood gets fully back to work,

02:16 everybody is bracing for what they called in the headline

02:19 a full-on horse trading season,

02:20 where it will be full go,

02:22 and of the utmost priority for Marvel Studios is Deadpool 3.

02:27 They understand, quote, the importance of the film

02:29 and wanna make sure that they do everything they can

02:32 to fast track it, finish it,

02:34 and get it out by that original May 3rd, 2024 release date,

02:38 the last one we heard from Marvel Studios.

02:41 It specifically states that, quote,

02:42 "Once the SAG-AFTRA strike ends,

02:44 Deadpool 3 and Captain America Brave New World

02:46 will be prioritized by Disney,

02:48 with the expectation being

02:49 that they'll meet their intended release dates."

02:52 Now, in the case of both these films,

02:53 they're in various states of being finished.

02:55 It's said of Brave New World

02:56 that it only needs reshoots at this point.

02:59 It's also said of Deadpool 3,

03:01 and according to which source you're going off,

03:03 that they may have even finished

03:05 about half of the film at this point,

03:07 or maybe only need about a month worth of shooting,

03:10 and that a lot of the film that they worked on

03:12 before the actor strike shut the movie down

03:14 has been in post-production

03:16 and getting the VFX work done

03:18 while the strikes have been going.

03:19 So really, it hasn't stopped the movie entirely.

03:22 They were able to get enough primary photography down

03:25 so that they never truly stop.

03:27 So if the actor strike were to, say,

03:29 get done in the next couple of weeks,

03:31 and while it's been said

03:32 for many other major productions at Marvel, like Daredevil,

03:35 that none of those will start up

03:36 until after the first of the year,

03:38 which is gonna take the next two months

03:40 to sort of regroup and get it all lined up,

03:42 even when the actor strike is done,

03:43 Deadpool 3 will be fast-tracked.

03:45 You could imagine that as they're seeing

03:47 the sort of getting towards the end there,

03:49 they'll be bracing for that, making their plans,

03:51 and then sending everybody back to work

03:53 if they only need a month.

03:54 Now, May will be here before you know it,

03:56 but the fact that Marvel Studios

03:58 moved that film up in the first place

04:00 actually told you a lot.

04:02 I mean, yeah, they understand

04:03 how popular Deadpool and Wolverine are as IP

04:06 and definitely wanna give the whole MCU

04:08 that infusion of fandom

04:10 before other movies like Brave New World.

04:12 It actually makes a lot more sense

04:13 from a marketing standpoint

04:15 to put that one out first in Deadpool and Wolverine

04:17 so that you'll get a lot more viewers

04:19 for Brave New World on the back of that

04:21 instead of vice versa.

04:22 It also shows you their faith in the film itself

04:25 that it wouldn't need time or more time

04:28 when other films had needed

04:29 right up until the last minute,

04:31 like say Ant-Man and the Wasp, Quantumania.

04:33 That tells me that from their standpoint

04:35 in knowing the script and how concise the film is,

04:37 that it was going to be able to meet its deadlines

04:39 from day one.

04:40 That's the only reason you feel comfortable

04:42 moving a film up,

04:43 especially in these days for Marvel Studios

04:46 where the rewrites and the reshoots are just nonstop.

04:48 So part of me understands it

04:50 from just the purely Wolverine, Deadpool IP hype

04:53 they wanna drive,

04:54 but the other part of me is like,

04:55 wow, this film must really be in a good place,

04:57 very concise and in a great direction

05:00 that they're like, look,

05:01 we'll have no problem moving this up by half a year.

05:03 And now even saying still,

05:05 it'll be able to meet that release date

05:07 as long as we can get back on set and film,

05:10 we can get it out by May,

05:11 which is awesome news for every Marvel fan everywhere

05:14 because I gotta be honest,

05:15 I might be more hype for Deadpool and Wolverine

05:17 at this point than say something like Avengers 5

05:19 or Avengers 6,

05:20 which we don't even have an Avengers team.

05:23 Sort of hard to look down the road and be like,

05:24 yes, Avengers 5.

05:27 Who the hell's on the team?

05:29 I mean, do these characters even know each other?

05:31 Has Falcon Cap even met She-Hulk?

05:34 Have they met Moon Knight?

05:35 Have any of them met Captain Marvel?

05:37 Do any of them know each other?

05:38 Shang-Chi, is he included?

05:40 Has he met anyone outside Hulk and Captain Marvel?

05:43 Is there an Avengers team?

05:44 Yeah, Avengers 5, King Dynasty,

05:45 no shit, they're not gonna win.

05:46 My final thought here though,

05:48 as I sort of wanna float this out there

05:49 because obviously Marvel Studios is prioritizing this.

05:52 They're putting it first out next year to garner favors

05:55 so again, they can get more viewers for Brave New World

05:57 is how these films are gonna work in context of each other

06:00 when one's gonna be so violent and visceral

06:03 and rated R in Deadpool and Wolverine,

06:05 and then we're going to hop over to a PG-13

06:09 Brave New World that's gonna have a Red Hulk

06:11 and a Falcon Cap but no blood

06:13 and maybe or probably not the same level

06:15 of physical violence.

06:17 I'm not gonna say that Brave New World

06:18 is gonna look like the Falcon

06:20 and the Winter Soldier TV show or anything like that.

06:22 I expect the action to be up to par.

06:24 I'm actually very excited about Falcon Cap

06:27 and Red Hulk fight scenes.

06:29 That's gonna be amazing.

06:30 I just wonder if there'll be sort of like

06:32 a violence hangover going from one to the other.
