00:00 Welcome back to Pinoy MD.
00:02 We have with us today, Dr. Q, our obstetrician gynecologist
00:08 to answer your health-related concerns via our Facebook page.
00:12 Good morning to you, Doc.
00:14 Good morning to all of our viewers and to all of our listeners.
00:19 Good morning to all of you.
00:21 To my fellow Manuacos in Antique, good morning to you and to us.
00:24 Doc, first question.
00:25 How can we know if you have a heart disease?
00:28 That question was sent from Mary Joy Basig.
00:33 There are many symptoms.
00:34 Mary Joy has a heart disease.
00:36 The most common one is abnormal uterine bleeding.
00:39 This means that a woman, when she is regulating,
00:43 her bleeding is strong or long.
00:46 Or if her menstruation is not scheduled,
00:49 she can bleed in between her menstrual cycles.
00:52 Second, her uterus can grow and it is not bulging.
00:56 A woman can feel this because her uterus is growing.
00:59 There are also non-specific symptoms related to the uterus.
01:04 A woman cannot feel this in her uterus,
01:06 but in her bladder, in her urination,
01:08 she urinates quickly or oftenly.
01:11 Or she has problems with her bowel movement.
01:14 She is usually constipated.
01:16 If you can feel these symptoms,
01:18 you should consult a doctor to know the reason
01:24 why your uterus is growing or why you have abnormal uterine bleeding.
01:29 Next question, Doc.
01:30 Is it normal for a breastfeeding mom
01:33 to do her regulation twice a month?
01:36 The question is from Nen Nen Palio.
01:39 A woman who is fully breastfeeding has lactational amenorrhea.
01:43 It means that while she is breastfeeding fully,
01:46 purely breastfeeding, within 6 months,
01:49 she is not regulating.
01:50 But there are also women who can start their menstruation earlier,
01:56 even before 6 months.
01:59 If this is the case, there can be an irregularity first
02:02 because the body of a woman is recovering.
02:05 Her hormone levels are still adjusting.
02:08 So, she can do her regulation twice a month or even more.
02:13 Thank you so very much, Doc, for your guidance
02:15 and for answering our questions.
02:18 Keep them coming because you will be answered by our Pinoy MDs every week.
02:25 And of course, send your questions to our Facebook page.
