00:00 video, subscribe and hit the bell and leave a comment down below. So my power just went out,
00:06 it was out for maybe about an hour. It could go out again. If it does, I'm gonna lose my mind,
00:13 but we're gonna try to go through this as quick as possible just in case that happens. There's a
00:17 getaway this season that's a little bit different from the previous seasons. They're not away for
00:22 a weekend or anything like that, but yeah, it was nice. It was nice to see a getaway that was more
00:28 mixed and mingled and just here are the guys, here are the girls, you know. So at this getaway,
00:34 we have Peggy and Ella who touch base after George's antics at the dinner party. Actually,
00:40 they already touched base. I guess they felt the need to do it again. Like, how do you actually
00:45 feel now? Still really hurt. I believe he's a good person. Obviously, I want your opinion as well,
00:52 and I want you to be honest. I know there's so much more to George, but he's playing up to this
00:56 character. We all think he's a bit of a dick, or at least I do anyway. I feel like, Peggy,
01:01 if you're being honest with yourself, you already know how people feel about your husband and maybe
01:05 you were looking for somebody to give you a different opinion so that you could feel better
01:10 about yourself, but to me, she's asking because she knows. I feel like she's asking because she
01:16 knows. She literally had to beg the man on the couches with the experts to be a better person,
01:21 to be a nicer person, to not be somebody she has to raise because you are a partner, not a child.
01:29 Then they start to talk about Ella's connection with Nathaniel. She feels like things aren't
01:34 going the best. Nathaniel actually feels like things are going much better than before.
01:39 Given the information that we have about Nathaniel's desired match, to me, it really
01:46 feels like he's buying time, but not in a bad way. I feel like because he knows that there is a
01:52 responsibility in representation for his community, I think that he's staying on the show
01:58 to elongate Ella's story for representation's sake. That's my personal opinion, because we know
02:04 he doesn't like her like that. We know he's not going to like her like that. Like, he's just--
02:07 No. It's a wash between these two, okay? But he did say Ella was already chosen before he was,
02:16 and so he feels like they just had to put her with anybody so that her story can be told.
02:20 We also saw her a few weeks back where the Trans Lives Matter little hair piece thing.
02:27 I definitely think there's a story that's trying to be told by Mavs, and so Nathaniel kind of has to
02:34 play along so that the story can be told, but ultimately this relationship isn't going anywhere.
02:41 Luckily for Ella, it looks like she has another prospect anyways.
02:44 So yeah, that's going to be interesting.
02:47 Arthur and JJ talk about his lack of attraction to Bianca, while Bianca is like, "Liz, I need more".
02:55 "Have you kissed her before?"
02:56 "Yeah, but not for like a while. I've been tired in that, but listen..."
03:00 "You've been tired?"
03:01 "She's like the kindest, most genuine girl that I've probably ever met."
03:05 "But as things stand, to want to rip Bianca's clothes off, honest answer is no."
03:09 I was giving JJ props at the beginning, because I definitely do think that he is trying more than
03:14 other men that we have seen, but at the end of the day, what he described as the person he likes
03:20 is not Bianca, and it's never going to be Bianca.
03:22 I think that he's lying to himself in that, "Oh, I need to change my type, and I need a woman who's
03:28 ready to settle down and all that stuff", but his default setting is to go for the blow-up doll look.
03:37 Let's just be honest, okay?
03:39 He likes women who had work done, and then also needs to look like a model at the same--
03:43 Like, it's giving blow-up doll, like, that's what he likes.
03:46 It's giving George, right?
03:47 So, um, yeah, it's kind of sad.
03:51 It's funny, too, because on Discord, some people were sending pictures of Bianca's social media
03:56 pictures, and I'm like, "Damn, this girl is so gorgeous!"
03:59 And I know, I know, if there are any men watching, women tend to call all women gorgeous.
04:06 Like, we just-- That's what we do, okay?
04:09 We like to big each other up, and I do--
04:10 I do get a sense of that, because I can see what JJ is saying when he says he's not attracted to her,
04:17 but I just don't think it's--
04:18 I think his reaction is a little bit much.
04:24 I do.
04:24 I do still think she's a beautiful girl on social media.
04:27 Her pictures are beautiful, too, so, well, his loss, I guess.
04:30 The couples are then, strategically, if you noticed, separated.
04:35 It is a mix of guys and girls in each group, and so they're given these envelopes,
04:40 these gold envelopes, and it's a game called "Secrets and Lies", I think it is.
04:44 The first question is about who's having the best sex.
04:46 Honestly, there's only three couples having sex anyways, so the options are limited.
04:50 They didn't come to a consensus on who they think is having the best sex, but
04:53 there's a conversation with Erika and how good her relationship is going.
04:58 And for some backstory, in the pool, it was, I think, Thomas,
05:05 uh, Jay, I think, I think, Erika and Tasha.
05:11 And basically, Erika believes that she is in the strongest couple in this experiment.
05:19 Now, it's cute that you think that.
05:21 I think that that's a good perspective to have.
05:24 Maybe not, like, in a competition way, but just to have faith in your relationship.
05:29 Like, "Wow, we're really strong. Love that for us."
05:31 But definitely, you could see that Tasha was having an issue with Erika from that point,
05:36 and so this whole intimacy conversation is starting to trigger Tasha a bit.
05:43 - "Can I offer you tequilas?"
05:44 I was like, "Why do I just take that risk?"
05:47 And it was my birthday, so I was like...
05:48 - "Cheers to birthday, sir."
05:50 - "That's a very strange cheers."
05:52 Tasha said she didn't want to cheers to birthday sex.
05:57 I'm just like, "Girl, is it that deep?"
05:59 Like, I think she only didn't want to cheers because it was Erika saying,
06:04 "Can we cheers to birthday sex?"
06:05 "Girl, what's wrong with birthday sex?"
06:06 "Birthday sex is great."
06:08 Let's all cheers to birthday sex.
06:13 JJ opens up about how hard it is being in a friendship couple,
06:18 and Ella chimes in because she can relate.
06:21 - "I've been waiting four weeks for just a kiss and you've had a shag?"
06:24 - "Every night, babe."
06:26 - "So I want to make sure that we're emotionally connected before, like, crossing."
06:30 - "Yeah."
06:31 - "I'm very tactile and I like PDA.
06:34 He isn't.
06:34 When I eventually told my ex-boyfriend about me being trans,
06:39 he wouldn't touch me like he wouldn't have sex with me."
06:42 I kind of wish that we got more of this story from Ella, even in the beginning.
06:47 I felt like Ella's whole story was the fact that she was a trans woman,
06:52 and yes, that is a big part of her identity.
06:55 But to hear a little bit more about her relationships,
06:58 and her personality, and her work, and stuff like that would have been helpful.
07:02 Because now she's saying that her past relationship started to go left,
07:07 basically because her partner was fixated on the gender identity.
07:13 And so when he discovered, I guess--
07:17 Oh, wait, hold on.
07:20 Hold on.
07:20 Wait, let me read my notes, because maybe I'm remembering it wrong.
07:23 Um...
07:25 "She shared that her past partner's attraction was tied to the belief
07:29 that she was a cisgendered woman."
07:31 So I guess she didn't tell.
07:34 Okay, can we-- can we have a candid conversation?
07:40 Guys, please don't cancel me.
07:42 I'm--
07:42 I--
07:45 I do understand that trans women, trans men,
07:50 identify as that gender that they have transitioned into.
07:54 I do get that.
07:55 A lot of people aren't comfortable with that.
08:02 And so if the ex-partner was under the belief that you were a cisgendered woman,
08:08 I can understand how they would retract their affection
08:12 once they realize that you aren't a cisgendered woman.
08:18 Like me--
08:19 Oh god, I'm gonna get canceled, Jesus Christ.
08:22 I'm just gonna end it there.
08:24 Basically, that's-- that's what happened in her past relationship.
08:28 I don't understand why it's an issue in this relationship, though,
08:31 because Nathaniel is pansexual.
08:33 I thought the whole point of being pansexual is the fact that gender identity does not matter.
08:37 It's about the person.
08:37 It's about their soul.
08:38 So yeah, I don't know if that's a direct correlation with Nathaniel,
08:44 where it's like, oh, maybe he has an issue with me because I'm trans.
08:47 But she does say her past is what's making her feel a way about Nathaniel
08:52 not being affectionate with her,
08:53 because it reminds her of her partner and the whole gender identity thing.
08:57 Skimming through a couple of the thoughts here.
09:00 Laura is weary of George and his feelings for Peggy,
09:03 but he claims that his feelings are genuine.
09:06 Arthur thinks that Ross and Thomas are lying about their feelings for each other,
09:10 which really hit a nerve with Thomas.
09:12 I just want you to explain yourself,
09:14 give you opportunities to retract it, potentially.
09:16 -Name names, Arthur. -Don't ask that, you know him.
09:17 All of you said that you thought they were friends, all that stuff.
09:20 I apologize for being a mug.
09:22 You happy?
09:22 It's fucking empty, mate.
09:24 So no.
09:24 -Okay, that's fine. -So carry on.
09:26 Honey, Thomas--
09:26 Thomas gagged me a little bit.
09:29 I said--
09:30 This man said, "I'm gonna stop you right there and give you an opportunity to change your answer
09:36 and to apologize".
09:37 And Arthur actually apologized!
09:39 Yo!
09:41 I did not know Thomas had it in him to be this feisty!
09:44 But if you've been seeing on social media,
09:46 he does not take kindly to people crapping on his relationship with Ross.
09:50 So like, wow, okay, Thomas!
09:52 Okay!
09:53 Now, part of me does believe that he's projecting,
09:55 but I'm not gonna pay attention to the part right now.
09:58 I'm focused on Thomas.
09:59 Like, I was really here for the energy.
10:01 I loved it.
10:01 More of this, Thomas.
10:03 More--
10:04 Yeah.
10:05 So Brad and Shona, as we know, had to take time from the experiment.
10:09 They had this big blow up or whatever.
10:11 They spent two days apart.
10:12 Now they're back together.
10:13 You can tell that the experts were just brought in last minute,
10:16 because they weren't even mic'd up properly,
10:18 but they were talking about their relationship and how toxic it is
10:21 and how it's best that they leave the experiment.
10:23 - I feel like it's really quick to turn around
10:27 and it doesn't make me feel safe and then I was getting really anxious.
10:30 - Can you see that the way you've been behaving
10:32 is as though you think you're better than she?
10:36 - I try and advise people a lot,
10:37 from good intention and from the purest of my heart.
10:41 - We believe it's in your best interest that you exit the process now.
10:46 - Leaving's the best option for us, you know, or to give us a chance, maybe.
10:51 I always feel uncomfortable when people say they have these big negative reactions
10:56 to somebody because they care for them.
10:58 That's all I needed to hear.
11:02 That's what Brad said and I was like, "Yeah, no, no.
11:04 Not the vibe, not the vibe, not the vibe."
11:08 The thing that does worry me about this couple is...
11:11 Shona wants to leave as a couple
11:16 and he believes that it might be the stress of the experiment
11:20 that is making things very tumultuous in their relationship,
11:23 but I just feel like that's how he's always going to be to Shona.
11:28 And so at least in the experiment, you're in this controlled environment
11:32 where, you know, you do have experts to call up behavior
11:35 and you do have production to maybe intervene here and there
11:38 and all this kind of stuff, but at home...
11:41 I feel like there's not as much protection and she could, could--
11:49 I'm not trying to paint Brad as this, you know, DV perpetrator,
11:54 but there is potential for this behavior to continue outside of the experiment
11:59 and potentially be worse in an uncontrolled environment.
12:04 So yeah, I do kind of fear for them.
12:05 I hope that they're not together, honestly.
12:07 I really hope they're not together.
12:08 Also, Love is Blind, take some notes.
12:12 Take some notes.
12:14 Because they're seeing problems in a relationship
12:18 and they're intervening to basically say,
12:20 "Hey, listen, we can't condone this type of relationship.
12:23 I think it's best that we remove you from the process."
12:26 Love is Blind, this most recent season--
12:28 I know we're off track, but just walk with me here--
12:30 has gone through so many scandals this one season,
12:34 two of which have to do with the fact that
12:37 one person in a relationship did not feel safe.
12:39 So...
12:41 Yeah, I'm really glad that Married at First Sight did do their due diligence
12:46 and step in when things started to look a little bit touchy.
12:50 Very proud that they did that.
12:53 The new couples are sharing their first impressions on the couples
12:57 who are in the experiment.
12:59 JJ thinks that Ella and Nathaniel are attractive.
13:02 I'm not gonna lie, the way that he was talking about Ella and Nathaniel,
13:05 I'm like, "It feels like he's trying to be a third".
13:07 But you can also just appreciate somebody's beauty, okay?
13:12 So, all right.
13:13 Erika thinks that Arthur is fake and Peggy has to coddle her husband.
13:18 JJ is rooting for Tasha, but even though Tasha's--
13:24 I mean, not Tasha, even though Erika's response
13:27 was similar to what JJ said about Tasha,
13:30 there was a little--
13:32 There was a-- I have to be honest.
13:34 There was a little bit of condescension in the way that she said it, in my opinion.
13:39 And so things are really kicking off between these two.
13:43 Oh, no, I have to talk about the other thing before I get there.
13:46 Okay, sorry.
13:47 The group is worried that JJ's type is really the model type
13:54 and it's not this whole "I want a natural beauty" thing
13:57 that he's talking about right now.
13:59 And so that is further confirmed when he's starting to show interest in Ella.
14:03 "If you had to compare your exes to any of the girls here,
14:06 who would you compare them to?"
14:07 "Ella, probably a little bit like you."
14:08 "Who would you want to kiss in the group who isn't your partner?"
14:14 "I'm gonna probably say JJ."
14:15 "Yeah, buddy!"
14:17 "Pucker up, JJ!"
14:19 "Probably Ella."
14:23 "Ella is the biggest flirt I've ever met."
14:26 JJ turned red like Bob the Tomato from VeggieTales.
14:32 I was like, "Oh, JJ!
14:33 This man cannot hide his feelings if his life depended on it."
14:38 So what's gonna happen between these two?
14:42 I don't know.
14:42 Ella was definitely feeding into his interest.
14:45 Morally, oh, I'm so against this.
14:49 This is not right.
14:50 Experimentally?
14:52 Experimentally, I'm not mad at it.
14:54 I'm just saying, I just--
14:54 I kind of want to see if there's something there.
14:58 I'm intrigued.
14:59 Like I was saying, things have been boiling over between Tasha and Erika,
15:04 and then I forget exactly what it was that made this situation come to a head.
15:09 For some reason, my note is gone, but Tasha has had enough.
15:14 - I see, Paul and I working outside. - Yeah.
15:17 I don't know, I haven't really seen you about this.
15:20 I don't know, I haven't really seen you and Paul together.
15:23 I don't know what this is.
15:26 I just decided to get a bit of a bad energy off of you.
15:28 When was this?
15:29 I do get the same, like, energy about you.
15:32 You have an issue with me, clearly.
15:34 - I don't have an issue with you. - You've got bad vibes, bad energy.
15:36 - I don't have an issue with you. - Yeah, 'cause you fucking do!
15:37 Tell me.
15:38 Shut up about other--
15:39 Who the fuck are you telling to shut up?
15:41 Don't tell me to shut up!
15:44 They just don't like me because I'm confident and I'm sure of myself,
15:47 and I'm a good-looking girl.
15:49 So here's the thing.
15:50 On Discord, they asked me, "Whose side am I on?"
15:52 I'm on nobody's side, because I feel like both sides are childish.
15:56 For Tasha, I understand the annoyance of somebody just coming in and saying
16:01 that they are the strongest couple in the experiment,
16:03 because one, you just got here.
16:05 You haven't really been through much.
16:06 And two, you don't really know anybody else to make that sound of a judgment.
16:10 However, Tasha's response to Erika because of that?
16:14 Unwarranted.
16:16 If you ask me, it was unwarranted.
16:18 It was a little bit over the top.
16:20 And so somebody on Discord said they have a theory
16:24 that maybe Paul had alluded to the fact that he thinks that Erika's attractive.
16:28 And so that struck a nerve with Tasha,
16:35 because this response really does not make any sense to me.
16:39 Now, on Erika's side, she believes that the girlies don't like her,
16:43 because she's just so pretty.
16:45 She's so beautiful and the other women feel threatened by her.
16:48 [Sighs]
16:52 I can't completely rule it out,
16:54 because honestly, she has been here for three seconds.
16:58 So what other reason do you have, like, to be mad at her about?
17:00 I don't get it.
17:02 But I can kind of see how some things Erika says can rub people the wrong way.
17:08 Like, and if you do it enough times, like, I'm gonna get annoyed.
17:11 Again, don't think Tasha's response really matched the offense,
17:16 but I can see why she was offended.
17:18 It's a lot.
17:19 It's a lot of confusion.
17:21 I sided with nobody, because this is all childish.
17:26 Anyways, the preview, interesting.
17:29 Why is Peggy telling her family that George isn't to rimming?
17:35 I feel like she's trying to set him up for failure.
17:38 Like, girl, why would--
17:39 Shut your mouth.
17:40 And then the Ella and JJ thing is going to come to a head.
17:43 I'm interested to see what Nathaniel's response is going to be,
17:46 because it seems like he's not happy about it.
17:48 But until then, please make sure to like, comment, share, and subscribe,
17:51 and I'll see you in the next one.
