00:20 The first one is between Erica, who is a dancer from Edinburgh, and Jordan, who is a personal

00:28 My friends don't try and hook me up with people because they know how picky I am.
00:32 Getting married and having that fairy tale life is something I've literally always dreamed
00:37 of.
00:38 Just be like a power couple, dynamic duo.
00:41 I would love that so much.
00:43 My friends say that I talk a lot, I'm quite loud.
00:46 I'm a moment's boy, like, we're really close.
00:49 I was the only man of the house.
00:51 My dad's been like his dad to him, really.
00:53 He taught him how to play football, to ride his bike, to tie his shoelaces.
00:57 I believe that there's one person out there that you'll connect with more than anyone

01:01 It's that kind of feeling that you like.
01:02 Probably the fairy tale feeling.
01:03 What I noticed about these two is that they both come from broken homes, but Erica's story
01:08 is actually kind of sad.
01:09 Her mother started dating some guy that she really didn't like, and so she spent a big
01:15 chunk of her upbringing away from her mom.
01:18 I think she was in private school or something like that.
01:21 She wishes she had a stronger bond with her mom, but going through what she went through
01:24 in her childhood, she now wants to have a family unit that is not a replica of what
01:29 she experienced.
01:31 Jordan feels the same with his upbringing.
01:33 He doesn't want to repeat the pattern of coming from a broken home.
01:37 My only fear is, do they have this fairy tale mentality of, "This is what a happy family
01:44 is supposed to look like."
01:47 Families can look all different kinds of ways, and just because you came from a broken home
01:52 does not mean this cookie cutter picture of marriage and family is going to make you happy.

02:01 I definitely got the impression that Erica's looking for marriage to bring her joy, but
02:06 it takes more than just that.
02:08 Then we have JJ and Bianca who are completely different.
02:12 She is a homebody.
02:14 She's a self-made woman.
02:15 I think JJ is also self-made, but he's a party boy by definition.
02:21 I'm not much of a party girl.
02:22 I prefer to spend my weekends with my family.
02:24 Throughout my life with guys, I've faced quite a lot of rejection.
02:28 I would love my wedding day to be a rom-com kind of soppy, lovey.
02:32 People would say I'm a party boy going out a lot.
02:36 They might say I'm a bit of a player.
02:37 I've been chasing the wrong type of girl, and I'm aware of that now.
02:41 I love the idea of love, and when you watch these films, you kind of think, "Oh, one day
02:45 I hope that happens to me."
02:46 In my mind, he's a tool.
02:49 He's like, "Yeah, I'm surrounded by supermodels, and my ex was a Victoria's Secret model, and
02:54 I like the jewelry, and the money, and the high life, and being around the celebrities."
03:01 He claims he's no longer in that life anymore, and he really wants to settle down.
03:05 On paper, that would be somebody like Bianca, but in reality, that's not what's going to
03:10 happen.
03:11 Let's fast forward to their wedding.
03:14 This man claims, claims he's a changed man.
03:18 He's looking for something serious.
03:21 He wants a wife, and to really settle down.
03:24 Here is Bianca, who in my opinion, embodies all of those things.
03:28 He's not feeling her.
03:29 Hi.
03:30 I fancy him on initial attraction.
03:31 He's lovely.
03:32 He has such a beautiful smile.
03:33 It's difficult, because she's a nice girl, but she's not like the girls that I usually
03:44 go for.
03:45 I've always built up an image in my head of the most perfect girl ever.
03:49 It's all over my face.
03:52 Do you mind ever so slightly holding it for a split second?
03:57 He immediately has reverted back to that party boy player type.

04:07 Beauty's in the eye of the beholder, whatever.
04:08 If he doesn't find her attractive, that's fine.
04:09 Me personally, I don't think she's unattractive.
04:11 It's just, if you're expecting a supermodel, let's be honest, objectively, the picture
04:16 that comes to mind is not somebody who looks like Bianca.
04:19 That's not to say that she's unattractive.
04:22 I think he's trying to sell himself a dream.
04:26 For whatever reason, actually maybe it's because his ex cheated on her.
04:31 The Victoria's Secret model cheated on him.
04:33 Maybe he's thinking, "If I go with a more homely type of girl, a more basic girl, that
04:39 won't be my experience."
04:40 I don't know.
04:42 I don't know, but I definitely think he's lying to himself.
04:44 He wants that model-esque wife.
04:49 On to Jordan and Erica's wedding.
04:53 She's a very picky person.
04:54 However, she does find Jordan attractive.
04:57 There's just a few improvements she could make.

05:53 I know when I come on camera, people are like, "Girl, change your braids."

05:58 So let me not go on Jordan too much about that.
06:02 However, at the reception, he's steamrolling the conversation.
06:07 And I don't know if he just lacks social skills or if he lacks self-awareness,
06:10 but it's starting to annoy Erica.
06:14 I moved back from London.
06:17 I did the same growing up, like when I was in my teenage years.
06:20 It's just the chat is making me take a step back.
06:22 Just like giving me the ick.
06:24 I felt like I'd just taken a sleeping tablet at the altar.
06:27 Come on.
06:28 I think that's a bit harsh.
06:29 It's like he wants to talk about him and I'm like, "Shut up and let me talk."
06:33 I was thinking it could have been nerves because as the night went on,
06:37 he did become a better conversationalist.
06:38 He was asking her questions.
06:40 He was waiting for her to respond instead of interjecting all the time.
06:43 But yeah, her friends definitely brought her back.
06:46 And the friends, did y'all notice at the ceremony,
06:49 the friends were like, "Oh my gosh, he's so cute.
06:50 He's so cute.
06:51 He's so--"
06:52 Erica, be careful.
06:54 If you don't appreciate this man, one of your bridesmaids will.
06:57 But yeah, definitely things were getting better between them.
07:00 They did realize that they came from similar upbringings.
07:03 And so that's something that they can connect on.
07:05 Yeah, things are going well with these two.
07:08 On the other hand, between JJ and Bianca,
07:12 he's really trying to fake the funk that, you know,
07:14 it's a wedding day, everybody's happy.
07:15 We're excited to be here.
07:16 But he very clearly does not want to be here with Bianca.
07:20 What's your initial thought when you saw her?
07:23 Be honest.
07:24 Shocked.
07:25 Obviously, initial attraction, that is important to me.
07:26 You boys know me.
07:27 You always say to me, "I need someone that's nice, caring,
07:31 look after me and stuff."
07:33 Kind, caring.
07:34 That's important to me.
07:35 And I'm like, I really want to get to know her more.
07:38 I'm just thinking to myself, like,
07:42 what would have been the better way to handle this?
07:45 Because I almost was like, "Man, you can't even fake it."
07:47 But then if you fake it,
07:48 you're creating a false sense of reality for the person,
07:50 especially because Bianca does like him.
07:53 Like a lot.
07:55 So yeah, I don't know what the best option

08:02 I definitely think there are ways to be a little bit more present
08:05 at the wedding, even if attraction might not be there.
08:08 Like, you don't have to fake the attraction part,
08:10 but at least the interest in the day as a whole, you know?
08:14 And damn, I saw him actually looks like an ogre.
08:16 Like he's making it seem like it's so painful to be around her.

08:35 Episode 13, where they're off to the honeymoons.
08:40 Erica and Jordan, we're gonna talk about them very quickly
08:42 because their honeymoon literally went smooth sailing.
08:45 They've been getting a lot closer.
08:47 It was her birthday on the honeymoon,
08:49 and she talked about her past birthdays
08:51 always being a bummer.
08:53 And so Jordan had promised to make her birthdays
08:56 more special going forward.
08:57 She really appreciated that effort from him.
08:59 They consummated the marriage, and like, things are great.
09:02 Things are great between them.
09:04 Bianca and, what's his name now?
09:06 JJ.
09:08 I'm surprised I'm remembering all of this.
09:11 I don't even have my notes, guys.
09:12 Bianca and JJ.
09:14 She feels like she's putting in a lot of effort,
09:19 and JJ isn't reciprocating.
09:22 But I'm also, I'm a little bit conflicted
09:24 because I think that he's actually trying
09:28 a little bit more than the other couples we have seen
09:31 when there's a lack of attraction.
09:33 - The biggest concern is just being friends.
09:36 I'm not here for that, I'm not looking for that.
09:38 It feels like nice, you grabbing my body.
09:40 Yeah, it's nice being massaged by you, actually.
09:43 Can't really imagine my life, like, without you now.

10:16 She's a great person, but I'm just not drawn to her sexually.

10:26 could have better handled the situation?
10:28 I do still think, at the root of it, he's kind of a tool,
10:31 but I think that he's been handling this situation
10:33 as best as he could.
10:34 He tried giving them a massage, and they had a little,
10:37 did they have the cooking thing,
10:38 or was that the other couple?
10:40 I don't remember, but I do think effort is being put in.
10:43 He also said, you know, I do understand
10:45 that you do want more affection from me,
10:46 but it doesn't make sense for me to give you affection
10:49 when I'm not feeling it, because it is leading you on,
10:52 and so that's not what we wanna do.

10:57 He does acknowledge that this is something
10:58 that he has to work on.
10:59 He does have preconceived notions
11:01 of who he wanted to be with,
11:02 and that's not fair for the person you're going for.
11:05 Even if it was a supermodel, I still think,
11:08 or a woman that looks like a supermodel,
11:10 I still think anybody who comes in with preconceived notions
11:13 is setting themselves up for failure,
11:16 and JJ definitely did that.
11:18 Onto the main couples.
11:20 We, let's start with Shona and Brad, just because they,
11:23 so Shona is digesting the things
11:28 that she was told by the experts,
11:30 and she's trying to have a conversation with Brad
11:33 about how he talks to her.
11:35 He's still kind of talking to her
11:36 in that same demeaning way,
11:41 so she gets some advice from Laura and,
11:44 what's that girl named?
11:45 Peggy, basically saying, "Babe, stand your ground.
11:48 "You're not a child.
11:49 "He should not speak to you like a child."
11:52 Why did this man, again,
11:54 gave us this whole philosophical BS?
11:57 - I just feel like that you're so quick to say,
12:03 "The universe is my path,
12:04 "and maybe I'm not on the right path."
12:05 - You might be listening, but it's not going in
12:07 because you're at a different part of your journey.
12:09 The universe is so much bigger
12:10 than just this physical dimension.
12:12 - It really baffles my head.
12:13 - So according to Brad, Shona is behind on her journey,
12:18 and unfortunately, when it comes to love and maturity,
12:25 it's all in conjunction with the universe,
12:28 and he's just further along in understanding himself
12:31 in this self-discovery journey,
12:34 and the universe ultimately is what we all need to strive
12:38 to be connected to the most,
12:39 and right now, he's more connected to the universe
12:42 than he is connected to Shona.
12:44 Boy, if you don't shut up, shut up.
12:49 Like he, mm, he boils my blood.
12:54 The impression I got from him in his rollout
12:58 is so different to the man that he ended up being,
13:01 and it's so frustrating
13:02 because the thoughts that I had about him
13:04 before I saw his little trailer of his life
13:09 are the things that he's exhibiting now.
13:12 It's very frustrating.
13:13 I'm very glad that we're getting Shona
13:16 actually standing up for herself
13:18 rather than a situation like the Harrison and Bronte
13:21 where she just, I don't even know,
13:26 whatever kind of foolishness Harrison would spill onto her,
13:30 she would just take it every single time,
13:32 even though it was very clear that Harrison was manipulative,
13:36 he definitely did not have good intentions for her.
13:39 Even the experts were like, "Girl, watch out,"
13:42 and Bronte would just never heed anyone's advice.
13:45 So I'm very happy that Shona is, you know,
13:50 standing on her ground,
13:53 is making her presence known in this relationship,
13:55 and ultimately, I think she did say
13:58 that she's going to like remove herself.
14:02 That part I don't quite remember,
14:04 but either way, I think she handled it very well.
14:07 Moving on to the intimacy week stuff,
14:11 we had, oh, the cutest moment between Jay and Luke.
14:15 Luke was doing tasks with one arm
14:18 to see what Jay goes through on a day-to-day basis.
14:21 I thought that was so adorable.
14:23 We had Ella and Nathaniel who did the gazing challenge
14:27 and the hugging challenge.
14:28 Why during it did Nathaniel say,
14:32 "You know, looking into her eyes reminded me
14:34 "that there's a person there with feelings."
14:37 He hates her.
14:40 (laughs)
14:41 He hates her.
14:42 And then Ella, after the hugging challenge,
14:45 is going to say something very similar.
14:47 I'm like, "These two, oh, goodness.
14:50 "These two, I will never understand it,
14:52 "but they're fighting for something."
14:54 And even in the next episode,
14:55 it seems like Ella is really fighting for something.
14:57 So, okay, girl, if you believe in this relationship,
14:59 then that is your prerogative.
15:01 Then we have, what are their names now?
15:04 Roz and Thomas, who did the same challenges,
15:07 and it actually went really well for them.
15:09 - We're both in very wobbly situations.
15:12 We don't know if we can make this work or not.
15:14 She's a gorgeous girl, and I think I was seeing that
15:16 a bit more the longer I was staring at her,
15:18 and it was really nice.
15:19 I did feel quite connected to her.
15:21 - Hugging is my favorite.
15:22 It feels like an actual cuddle.
15:25 It feels nice, warm, secure.
15:27 Smashed it.
15:28 - Well done.
15:29 - Let's go have rampant sex.

15:59 as soon as the experts are present.

16:05 in this isolated situation to help you out all the time.
16:08 So, even if they were to make a 180 in their relationship,
16:13 I don't know how sustainable it would be.
16:16 We didn't get to see all the couples
16:18 do the intimacy week stuff,
16:20 probably because of the new couples
16:21 who are kind of throwing off the balance here.

16:31 Terrence and Borsha, they're getting on
16:33 like a house on fire, allegedly.

16:36 Some of the other people are calling BS,
16:40 but allegedly it's fine.
16:41 We also saw an appearance from Arthur.
16:46 He's doing a lot better.
16:47 He brought Laura some flowers.
16:49 And then, with George and Peggy,
16:52 they obviously are incompatible
16:54 when it comes to their desires for sex in this relationship.
16:57 And so, they get this intimacy box
16:59 with sex toys and quizzes and all this kind of stuff.
17:02 And Peggy's fear is that George
17:04 is gonna go from zero to 100.
17:06 That's exactly what happened.
17:08 - I'm super excited because I've been really horny
17:11 and I really hope that Peggy and I
17:13 can kind of move on to the next level.
17:15 - He always makes a joke of everything,
17:17 so as much as I love it,
17:18 it's not really helping us romantically.

18:06 and he doesn't really know how to woo her.

18:11 So I'm like, yeah, I mean, the box is great and all,
18:14 and we got to hear a lot of what George's fantasies are.

18:20 But if somebody can help him in the romance department,
18:24 how to make your woman swoon after you,
18:27 how to make her feel desired,
18:29 I think that'll have better results than the box.
18:34 But it is what it is.
18:36 I wanna see more of Intimacy Week though.
18:37 I feel like they're giving us the crumbs this year,
18:41 and I don't like that.
