The NSW Premier has reacted to the organised pro-Palestine rallies in Sydney establishing the need to balance the right to protest with the right to be free from vilification.

00:00 There is, of course, a right to protest in New South Wales,
00:03 but there's also a right to be free from intimidation,
00:07 from incitement to violence,
00:09 from racial vilification or actual violence in New South Wales.
00:13 It's important to note that the organisers of the march and assembly
00:18 on Sunday were also responsible for the march last Monday.
00:23 And that was facilitated by the New South Wales Police,
00:26 and no-one can claim that that ended well.
00:29 We need to learn from the lessons from Monday night.
00:33 Police will, of course, be reasonable and proportionate on the weekend,
00:37 but it's important to note that there'll be no tolerance given
00:41 for racial vilification, incitement to violence,
00:44 racism or vilification on New South Wales streets,
00:48 because there's no place for that in our multicultural society.
00:51 We need to learn from Monday night.
