00:00 for the greater good of our nation.
00:04 What is the outcome of the discussion with TikTok yesterday?
00:06 I have made a statement earlier.
00:08 We see that the compliance level of TikTok with the laws and regulations in Malaysia is not satisfactory.
00:16 I have already conveyed this to TikTok.
00:18 We ask TikTok to come and meet the Ministry and the Malaysian Communication and Multimedia Agency next week.
00:30 They are ready to meet and discuss.
00:34 One of the reasons why some of these things are going well is that they do not have a representative in the government relations
00:49 since the end of the PRN.
00:53 So it's been a long time.
00:55 We have also conveyed this to TikTok.
00:58 The person who was present yesterday was the Global Vice President of TikTok.
01:02 He is a high-ranking official.
01:07 I ask that the guarantee given by the CEO of TikTok to the Chairman of MCMC when they met in Jakarta recently
01:18 be fulfilled.
01:20 There are two things.
01:22 One is TikTok and the other is TikTok Shop.
01:24 I asked for additional information from TikTok Shop.
01:29 This will be investigated by the Ministry next week.
01:33 In the meeting with TikTok, did they say that they will not close their TikTok Shop in Malaysia like they did in Indonesia?
01:42 That is the decision of the Indonesian government.
01:45 The situation in Malaysia is different from the situation in Indonesia.
01:50 I asked for some information from TikTok Shop to understand the situation fully.
01:58 As mentioned by President Jokowi, there is a predatory pricing and data sovereignty and data sharing.
02:07 We have conveyed these things to TikTok Shop and they will be back with the information.
02:13 We will investigate this matter further and based on the information we have received and understand the situation,
02:23 we will take action.
02:27 This is Lepasitur.
02:28 Thank you.
