00:00 Meanwhile, after hacking into PhilHealth's systems,

00:03 another government agency confirmed that it was also a victim of a data breach.

00:09 The Philippine Statistics Authority said on October 7 that it was posted on social media that there was a data leak.

00:15 They immediately investigated it and came out with the initial investigation

00:19 that the data came from a community-based monitoring system.

00:23 They even found out which personal data was compromised.

00:27 The PSA also confirmed that the Philippine Identification or National ID System

00:33 and the Civil Registration System or the Birth, Death and Marriage Certificates were not in compliance.

00:38 They will help the authorities until the perpetrators are caught.

00:44 In a statement by Super Radio DZDoubleD,

00:46 DICT Undersecretary for Cyber Security Connectivity and Upskilling Jeffrey Ian D said

00:53 that hacking was a possible inside job.

00:56 "Experts in cybersecurity can use scammers and our personal information.

01:03 So their advice is to be careful with online transactions and inputting information on websites.

01:11 Also, change your password regularly so that you won't be victimized by an online scam."

01:17 "The first scenario, our data is exposed and we can't do anything.

01:23 The second scenario, scammers will use this ID.

01:30 So they will get identity theft.

01:32 The third scenario, this can be used as blackmail.

01:37 It can be used as extort.

01:39 Our friends or family members will call and say,

01:42 'Oh, this is the unfortunate one who lives in this address.'"
