00:26 Mamie's big return to the Winters family was everything we'd hoped for but it didn't
00:30 quite play out as expected when she faced off with Jill on the October 5th episode.
00:34 At first, it was like a classic showdown with Jill and Mamie hurling insults at each other
00:39 like pros but then, surprisingly, Jill decided to ease up and join the party for some champagne.
00:44 However, what she didn't let go of was her hunch that something fishy was going on and
00:48 she might just be onto something there.
00:50 At the end of that episode, Mamie slipped away to her suite at the end of the evening
00:54 and hopped on the phone with a mystery caller.
00:56 It was clear that they were working together and Mamie dropped a crazy twist, saying that
01:01 the plan went off without a hitch, no one has a clue, but they're all curious.
01:05 Now, you might be wondering, who on earth could this mystery partner be?
01:09 Is it Tucker?
01:10 Honestly, that doesn't add up because why would she do that to herself?
01:13 So, we think Mamie's secret partner is none other than her long-lost niece, the legendary
01:18 Drusilla Winters who took that fateful cliff dive in 2007 and vanished into thin air.
01:23 Her body was never found, so what if she is on her way to a dramatic comeback?
01:28 You see, Victoria Rowell has been the queen bee of Drusilla on The Young and the Restless
01:32 since 1990.
01:33 But her soap opera journey wasn't all smooth sailing.
01:36 She had her fair share of ups and downs and in 2007, she took her final bow, citing some
01:41 not-so-friendly encounters with her co-stars.
01:44 She claimed that her co-stars harassed her with an Afro wig and even insulted her.
01:49 According to Soap Opera Network, she even sued CBS for systematic racism in 2015.
01:54 And according to Radar Online, not only did she sue CBS but also Sony Entertainment.
01:59 Rowell said, "That lack of racial equity on set at Young and Restless resulted in her
02:03 being on the receiving end of various racially charged attacks by white Young and Restless
02:07 actors and executives."
02:09 This suit was later dismissed, but the big question is, after all that happened, can
02:13 she really make a comeback to I&R?
02:15 Well, Brighton James, who plays Drew's son, Devin, has made it abundantly clear that he'd
02:20 love to see his on-screen mom return to Genoa City.
02:23 In an interview with ET, he said, "I want my mom to come back.
02:26 That's my number one."
02:27 So, while it might seem like the bridge was burned, Rowell herself hinted at the possibilities
02:31 of her return in 2020, saying she sees an opportunity for change and more calls from
02:36 CBS.
02:37 She said, "I hope this opportunity won't be just a media moment.
02:40 I hope that it will be sustainable and it's systemic change, and I look forward to more
02:43 calls from CBS."
02:45 But if it's not Rowell making a grand Drusilla comeback, who could fill those shoes?
02:49 I mean, finding an actor as dynamite as Rowell is going to be very hard, especially when
