American Super Grand Coupe, New Lincoln NAVIGATOR SUV 2024

2024 Lincoln Navigator
Starting from $84,660

The 2024 Navigator, like all Navigators before it, is huge and luxurious. The driver can enjoy a 30-way heated and ventilated massage seat while taking advantage of Lincoln's BlueCruise 1.0 hands-free highway driving assistance. Passengers (the Nav seats up to eight) enjoy ample room, even in the third row, benefiting from Lincoln's compact independent rear suspension. The Navigator shares its platform with the Ford Expedition but clearly encompasses a different layer of luxury, with interior themes bearing names like "Central Park" and "Invitation." Navigators are available in short and long wheelbase versions.

We'll let you decide whether the standard short-wheelbase model or the extended-L body style is right for you, but we recommend the Reserve trim either way. The Reserve adds desirable luxury features like heated and ventilated front seats, a head-up display, a power-adjustable steering wheel, and a host of driver-assistance features. All-wheel drive is available for those who need it, and we also recommend the Heavy Duty Trailer Towing package for buyers who plan to make the most of the Navigator's 8,700-pound towing capacity.

The 2024 Navigator only has one engine and transmission combination, but with 440 horsepower, that's all it needs. We found the navigator to be responsive and genuinely quick, and the 10-speed automatic shifts deftly enough to not disturb napping passengers. At our test track, the Navigator hit 60 mph in 5.3 seconds. But straight-line performance is where the Navi's performance potential begins and ends. Steering feel is numb, and its big and soft suspension prevents it from being a vehicle that encourages spirited driving.

The Navigator uses a downsized, twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V-6 and 10-speed automatic transmission in search of better fuel economy.

The Navigator comes standard with a stunning 13.2-inch touchscreen and has USB ports in every row. The infotainment system's graphics are fluid and easy to read; Important for Lincoln's presbyopic customers, the massive screen is like a sparkling jewel on the Navigator's bow. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, and the system can perform over-the-air software updates thanks to the built-in 5G Wi-Fi hotspot. A 14-speaker Revel stereo system is standard, but the 28-speaker Revel Ultima 3D stereo is part of the optional Luxury package.
