Pittsburgh Steelers' WR George Pickens talks about facing fellow Hoover High School alum Marlon Humphrey.
Transcript
00:00 >> George, you and Joey Porter Jr.
00:01 had your battles throughout training camp, and I know you two have
00:03 been on a friendly competition, but what was it like to see him get his first
00:06 career interception in that fashion?
00:08 >> I didn't even know.
00:10 I swear to God, I didn't even know he got an interception today.
00:12 I know TJ's humble, and I was all over the place.
00:16 I didn't even know, but congratulations to him for sure.
00:18 >> [LAUGH]
00:21 >> George, what did you think when you
00:22 see Marlon Humphrey cross from you in the game all of a sudden?
00:26 >> I don't know about other receivers around the league, but
00:29 going to my high school and being from Alabama, it's more like of a,
00:34 I'll probably say, I don't wanna say a practice field, but
00:36 it's a guy that I know personally, so it's a little different.
00:38 >> Was he impressed there?
00:40 >> Yeah.
00:41 >> George, two of the last three plays, I think you went 41 and 21.
00:44 They man, singled up on you both times.
00:47 You surprised with them, do that?
00:49 Cuz they, I mean, teams over the past couple weeks haven't done that to you.
00:52 >> Yeah, I'm always a little bit surprised when they're just a one on one matchup,
00:57 and safety over top with the long speed I have and also the back shoulder game.
01:00 So if they're not doubling me, I'm a little surprised for sure.
01:04 >> Kenny mentioned staying together this weekend, today,
01:07 through any distractions, whether it's media related or game related.
01:10 Is that tough at all for you guys to do as an offensive time?
01:14 >> Not really, not a lot to, within the building,
01:17 we kinda be connected as a team.
01:19 Each player on the team, we really connect, we're very, very close.
01:22 So the media and all the other stuff, it's kinda hard to,
01:25 We see it, but it's kind of hard to break up.
