00:00 We have a player from Auburn named Maya Practor.
00:02 We are so, so, so excited about her.
00:06 Maya stretches the floor.
00:07 She can handle the ball.
00:09 She pushes the ball in transition.
00:11 She's gonna cause me to do some things differently
00:13 offensively this year, just to get her more involved.
00:18 Madison, we have a player, Madison.
00:20 She's extremely athletic.
00:22 Madison, you know, can jump out of the gym.
00:25 She reminds you of Maya Crump.
00:29 She plays just like her.
00:30 And Maya Practor, she has the wingspan
00:33 and the jumping abilities and the tenacity on the boards
00:35 like Deja Woodard had on last year.
00:38 So for me, players who are successful
00:41 in my program that leaves and graduates,
00:43 we try to replace them with a similar player.
00:46 And so that's what we got out of Maya Practor,
00:48 and that's what we got out of Madison Rochelle.
00:50 Taylor Woodhouse is a point guard
00:52 that we signed from Missouri State.
00:55 She can flat out shoot the cover off the ball.
00:57 And so we wanted to stretch the floor more
01:00 so we can get more one-on-one on the inside
01:03 and stop having people sack so much off of our guards.
01:07 And so Taylor is gonna make players respect her
01:09 at the three-point line.
01:10 And Haley Breland, Haley played last year on the team.
01:14 She's not a newcomer per se,
01:16 but she'll be a newcomer to everybody who is watching
01:19 because she is working her butt off
01:21 to get into that playing spot
01:23 and to get into the starting lineup.
01:25 And so we're excited about her.
01:27 And we have a freshman that's coming along
01:32 and she's doing a really good job.
01:33 She had a knee surgery this summer,
01:35 but we are expecting her to return full, six-two guard.
01:40 So she brings a lot to the floor, tough, big body.
01:44 That's what we need in order to compete
01:46 against the Power Fives outside of the conference,
01:48 that type of size in our guards.
01:51 So, but those are our transfers.
01:53 And we have a player from Texas Southern.
01:55 Andreana Avent.
01:57 She is one heck of a player.
01:59 Had she stayed at Texas Southern this year,
02:02 she probably would have been in the running
02:03 for a preseason player of the year.
02:05 She can certainly score the ball.
02:07 She can shoot the ball.
02:09 And she brings a lot to the team
02:11 and she's been working her butt off.
02:12 So we have a lot of depth.
02:14 I'm really excited about that
02:16 because we fell off some last year
02:19 and didn't have really many people to go to,
02:21 but we'll be a lot more deeper this year.
02:25 - All right, good luck. - And Zakiya.
02:26 Zakiya from Valley.
02:28 She's been doing really well for us too.
02:31 She's a grad student.
02:32 She transferred from Mississippi Valley
02:34 and she knows how to play.
02:35 She knows the game of basketball.
02:37 She's hard-nosed, she's gritty, and she doesn't quit.
02:40 So we love her too.
