Transcript
00:00 - Well, I am extremely proud of being
00:02 from Jackson, Mississippi.
00:04 We have great products, great people
00:08 who have come through Jackson, Mississippi.
00:10 We have a lot of wonderful things to show
00:13 and our community is beautiful.
00:18 For a team like Jackson State to be successful
00:21 four years in a row,
00:23 winning the regular season championship,
00:25 we are doing some things right.
00:27 And so our community is doing some things right.
00:30 Our institution and our city of Jackson
00:34 are all doing the right things.
00:36 And so when you talk about Jackson,
00:39 I just want people to talk about the goodness of Jackson.
00:43 We can go anywhere and look at the bad things.
00:45 We can go anywhere and look at the bad homes,
00:48 abandoned homes.
00:49 We can look at all of that stuff anywhere,
00:54 but I think there's so much more to show about Jackson,
00:57 especially because people who are not from here
01:00 already have their perception.
01:02 Let's change that.
01:03 I understand people have to create a narrative.
01:08 I get it.
01:09 But I think there's so much more to show
01:12 of Jackson, Mississippi than what's been shown.
