00:00 The Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław is the organizer of the International Art Symposium "Było, Jest i Będzie"

00:13 Our partner is the city of Twardogóra, which is hosting us here in the palace and its park facilities.
00:26 The International Art Symposium "Było, Jest i Będzie" is a cyclic event.
00:31 This is the sixth edition of the event.
00:36 The previous editions were held in other places, but this year it was held in Goszcz,
00:42 which we are very happy about, because this area gives us a rather unusual ability
00:49 to explore very interesting historical and architectural themes,
00:57 as well as the history of this place.
01:01 I think this is the main reason why we invited artists to come and see this place.
01:13 Of course, taking into account their achievements and the media and fields in which they work artistically.
01:21 These media are very diverse.
01:24 As for today, Thursday, we have a kind of an attempt to use the palace's construction site
01:36 to create a musical situation from the field of DJs.
01:43 The artist who is presenting today and who is making her attempts here is a DJ.
01:51 She works in a field that is associated with a very pop scene,
01:59 that is, in general, with pop culture.
02:03 However, she consciously connects such activities with the activities of a visual artist,
02:11 who also feels like a performer, who feels like a creator of a certain situation,
02:19 where the sound, music, music created by her, also becomes a compositional element.
02:30 And here, in conjunction with these palace interiors,
02:36 which are very interesting because, well, you have to say it,
02:41 they are degraded in a sense, but also thanks to the fact that Twardogóra
02:49 and our hosts took care of the fact that in the last year, in the last years,
02:57 this palace has regained its shine in a sense,
03:01 that is, it has also become accessible to tourists, and also to artists.
03:07 It was simply cleaned up, these ruins were revitalized in such a way
03:13 that you can reveal this interior, you can simply use this interior,
03:23 and this is also what our artist does.
03:26 So today, from 3 p.m., she is trying on her musical sets.
03:31 We also have a choreographer in our team,
03:34 she will probably also become part of this performance.
03:39 I have to say that a lot of the situations that take place here are such,
03:45 just as I said at the beginning, these are such attempts,
03:48 these are also such improvisations,
03:51 because artists not only act around their topics, around their ideas,
03:57 but also exchange these ideas,
03:59 invite each other to these situations that they create,
04:04 and this is also the assumption of our symposium,
04:08 to create a kind of connection, a clash of these different energies,
04:16 of these different personalities, and I hope that it will also work this year.
