00:00 We're here with the incredible Elena Rose. As always, we love to speak to you, we love to see you.
00:05 I do want to ask, first of all, something amazing happened. You're up for Songwriter of the Year for the Latin Grammys.
00:11 What did it mean to you to get that nomination?
00:14 Well, first of all, hi. I love you guys. Super rico de verte.
00:19 It's an honor for me because it's the first time as well that this nomination is happening.
00:25 I was reading the other day the specialness of words and how words have such an incredible power over people and big masses.
00:34 Songwriters have such a big responsibility right now, especially in this time of how the world is.
00:41 And the fact that the Academy is supporting it, that everyone is supporting it, it's a really, really big honor for me.
00:48 Especially because the rest of my friends are nominated, people I admire and I respect that really live for this.
00:55 And like myself, we do it with so much love, but being able to be part of and see my name in that list means so much to me.
01:05 Yesterday Shakira said her most powerful tool was la palabra, and I thought that was so cool.
01:09 It's exactly what I'm saying. And when we learn as well what is the message I want to give, it gets even stronger.
01:17 And I think that's where I am right now. I am really owning that message, owning who I want to be for the people that are in my life.
01:26 And for the people that listen to the music that we make, because it's our responsibility.
01:32 I know you're presenting tonight and then you have music coming out soon with some collabs I heard. Can you tell us a little bit more about that?
01:41 So my next single is called Caracas en el 2000, it's with Danny Ocean and Jerry D.
01:46 And it talks a lot about our city, Caracas, and Venezuela.
01:51 It's just a big hug to that place that saw us grow up and that we owe so much to it.
01:58 And it's very nostalgic, very fun. The visuals, the director of the video is Beto from Rawayana.
02:06 So just this big big collaboration that we've been working on for almost two years and I'm just so excited to show it.
02:13 Anything else we can expect from you this year?
02:16 Well a lot of love, you know me, I'm very excited. I'm finishing the album, my first album.
02:23 I'm so so thrilled for you guys to listen to. And a lot of collaborations that are part of the album.
02:29 I'm also collaborating with other artists on their projects so I'm very excited. Lots of music hopefully.
02:35 My last question to you is, besides the Latin Grammy nomination, what's the most unexpected thing that's happened to you this year?
02:41 Well we were able to sing the national anthem in front of 65,000 people at this huge NFL historical game.
02:54 And it was just crazy because I really felt I had to be there and I had never felt such a big responsibility.
03:02 And I'm just so grateful with God that he's able to trust me more than I trust myself sometimes.
03:10 And that I was able to bring that love that he gives me all the time to that place.
03:14 So that was very unexpected. Even more that it came out so beautiful and that it was a historical game.
03:20 So I'm very proud and happy.
03:22 Bueno, thank you so much Elena Rose.
03:24 Thank you, we love you too.
