00:00 We're here with the iconic Pepe Aylar at the Billboard Latin Music Awards.
00:04 Something special is happening tonight.
00:06 You're singing with Marc Anthony your new song "Ojalá Te Duela".
00:10 How did that collab happen?
01:48 Has to go through that filter.
01:50 Has to go through that filter.
01:52 Otherwise I wouldn't be truthful to who I am.
01:59 And I wouldn't be doing honor to the song and the artist that I'm producing.
02:05 Did it take a while to get to that where you're certain--
02:09 I know you have many years in this career.
02:11 Did you ever feel like that where you're like yes, no, yes, no?
02:15 Or did it take a while for you to get that confidence?
02:18 It took a while.
02:19 I've always been very confident.
02:21 But at the beginning, it was out of stupidness and not a lot of experience.
02:31 [SPEAKING SPANISH]
02:35 Maybe I shouldn't have gone there.
02:37 [SPEAKING SPANISH]
02:39 Been there, done that.
02:41 I know how it sounds.
02:42 I know what I want.
02:43 I'm picturing it in my head.
02:45 Like normally when I produce a song, I picture it in my head first.
02:50 And then I try and look for that sound.
02:52 So it has evolved the way that I work and that I produce, of course.
02:57 I mean, I don't know what I would do right now with the skills
03:03 that I had 30 years ago.
03:04 I would kill myself.
03:05 [LAUGHTER]
03:08 Evolution is good.
03:09 Evolving is good.
03:10 Yeah.
03:11 I would never kill myself.
03:12 It was just vigorous speech.
03:15 Pepe, anything else that we can expect from you for the rest of the year?
03:18 Oh, man.
03:19 So many things.
03:20 I'm producing like crazy.
03:24 We're doing Angela's new album.
03:26 We're doing Leonardo's new album.
03:28 We are signing new acts.
03:31 We are doing my new album, which is amazing.
03:35 It has a lot, a lot of crazy, crazy tunes.
03:39 I think I'm going to either be loved by my fans
03:43 or probably are going to cancel me forever, OK, after this album.
03:48 Because I'm just going to go full out.
03:51 That's the way to do it.
03:53 That's the way to do it.
03:54 That's the way to do it.
03:55 [SPEAKING SPANISH]
03:57 [SPEAKING SPANISH]
04:05 I love that.
04:05 Thank you so much, Pepe.
04:07 Have so much fun tonight.
04:08 Thank you.
04:08 Thank you.
