00:06 Jamie Chadwick, take one.
00:08 [SOUND]
00:11 >> Jamie Chadwick's done it again.
00:13 She looks up and sees the chequered flag which will be flying for her.
00:17 It's seven wins in a row for Jamie Chadwick.

00:31 >> I remember the first time I drove a go-kart.
00:37 And yeah, it's interesting cuz it's not a sport that I had much knowledge of before.
00:43 I just fell into it by accident.
00:44 It was my older brother was doing it and I would go and watch him.
00:47 And eventually it came a time where I wanted to have a go.
00:51 The first time I drove, I remember really enjoying it but also being quite,
00:55 I had no knowledge of what I was doing.
00:58 I just did it for fun.
01:00 And even still, I remember really enjoying it and
01:03 it just fueled a bug that kind of went on from there.
01:05 I actually drove my first car, did my first car race when I was 14.
01:10 And drove it before that when I was 13.
01:12 So I had experience driving cars, obviously, long before I got my road license.
01:17 But it's so different.
01:19 [SOUND] Biggest misconception, I'll say two things.
01:23 One is maybe the glamour of it, I guess.
01:27 I think if you look at Formula One, yes, that lifestyle and places they go and
01:30 the things they do is extreme and it's amazing.
01:33 But very much below that level is a different story.
01:37 I think that's something that people don't realize about the sport is how
01:39 physical it is.
01:40 The forces that your body are going through at those kind of speeds,
01:43 your neck, your core, your whole body is going through a huge amount of load.
01:46 It's a great question whether women and
01:48 men can fairly equally compete against each other in motorsport.
01:51 But I strongly believe they can.
01:53 There's a level that you have to get to and that level isn't easy.
01:57 But once you're at that level, being above and
01:59 beyond that isn't gonna give you more performance,
02:01 as opposed to a lot of other sports.
02:03 >> Jamie Chadwick sees the checkered flag first and
02:05 wins the first W Series race in Austin.
02:09 >> I think I'm inspired by different people daily.
02:12 But I think one big thing for me is the team that I work with.
02:15 A big part of that is when I just see the effort and
02:19 all the hard work that they put in to make me successful.
02:23 That also inspires me.
02:24 I don't wanna be the one that lets the side slip.
02:26 And I think they're a big reason why I'm always encouraged to work that bit harder.
02:31 I think leadership and mentorship kinda comes under the same bracket for me.
02:35 I was very lucky when I joined the Williams Formula One team.
02:38 Claire Williams was at the helm of it and
02:41 Susie Wolfe was actually involved as well.
02:42 And I think that was really important in building my confidence, but
02:46 also a team environment that I was able to join.
02:49 I think that feeling of competing for me doesn't really compare to anything.
02:53 It's sometimes I'm kind of nervous, I just wanna get through today,
02:57 just get it done.
02:58 But then as soon as adrenaline kicks in and you're in the moment,
03:00 it always goes a bit quicker.
03:02 So yeah, and depending on how it goes and how the feeling is throughout that,
03:08 always without fail,
03:09 straight afterwards I get the feeling of I wanna do that again.
