00:00 Hey everyone, we're here at Tesla's Hawthorne, California facility with an exclusive demonstration of the new V3 supercharging technology.
00:07 We're going to plug this car in and find out just how fast it is compared to V2 supercharging.
00:21 But right now let's talk about what V3 supercharging is.
00:25 This is a new technology that uses a liquid-cooled cable that can charge at up to 250 kilowatts peak.
00:32 That's a thousand miles of range per hour of charging peak speeds.
00:36 Compare that to the current technology that does just 150 kilowatts.
00:40 So this is a lot faster.
00:41 With V3 supercharging, it's still the same price as it was before.
00:46 And if you have lifetime supercharging grandfathered in, you're good.
00:49 Now the chargers will still work with other Teslas, but only the long range Model 3 can actually use the full capability.
00:55 This is a beta site for V3 supercharging, and they're going to open another beta site soon in Northern California.
01:00 And then later this year, sites all around the globe.
