00:02 The CX-9 is Mazda's three-row crossover,
00:11 and it's the last of its lineup
00:13 to get the new Kodo design language,
00:15 and I think it's beautiful.
00:16 It abandons that sort of overblown, fat SUV look
00:20 in favor of a long hood, low-roofed wagon,
00:23 and it works really well.
00:24 Under the hood is Mazda's new turbocharged four-cylinder.
00:28 It's a two and a half liter, and it's not tuned
00:30 for horsepower because Mazda's realistic
00:32 about the way people drive these cars.
00:34 They want lots of torque, so it's got a tiny little turbo
00:36 on it and a bunch of other tricks
00:38 to spool the turbo up really quickly.
00:40 Mazda's put a lot of thought into the way people
00:43 actually use three-row SUVs, so this thing promises
00:46 to drive as well as it looks.
00:48 I'm Jason Kamisa from Motor Trend
00:49 at the 2015 LA Auto Show.
