00:00 >> I guess for both of you maybe Cam you can take it first then Jayden,
00:04 Ole Miss has over 700 yards last week, over 300 rushing and passing, 55 points.
00:10 Just kind of what's your take on that offense, putting up those big numbers and
00:14 now you got to try to slow them down a little bit at least.
00:17 >> Yeah, I think they have a pretty good running game.
00:21 They have two phenomenal backs in the backfield and
00:24 they do have a mobile quarterback.
00:26 But I think the game plan that we implemented this week,
00:30 mainly focused on stopping those guys, so.
00:32 >> No going off what Cam said, everybody that's on the field just got to fly
00:37 their plane, do they want to live in, play smart and be physical.
00:42 >> And then Judkins, I think he's number four, but
00:47 he had a huge game against y'all last year, just like Rocket had a big game against
00:51 them, but Judkins, I think he's been banged up, he's played.
00:55 But until last week, he really hadn't broken out, but he had a big breakout game.
00:58 Kind of what's your take on him breaking out like he did,
01:01 what impressed you about him?
01:03 And then I know you guys are on the other side of the ball, but
01:05 you feel like Rockets maybe to really have a big breakout game?
01:09 >> I can say what stood out to me about him is he was so
01:14 young last year playing them and the type of skill set and
01:17 the type of things he did at such a young age.
01:19 I know that as the older he gets, the better he will be.
01:23 And I think most definitely Rocket is, he's been in the healing chamber for
01:27 a while now, so he's ready to lift off as one would say, cuz his name is Rocket, so.
01:32 >> Okay, Jayden, you got a thought on Judkins and Rocket?
01:35 >> Yeah, he's a very physical runner.
01:43 He run behind his pads, he can catch the ball in space, make you miss.
01:50 And so, yeah, we'll be ready for that.
01:53 And then Rocket, like Cam said, he healed up, so
01:57 ready to watch him go to work.
01:59 >> Okay, thanks guys.
02:01 >> John.
02:03 >> Hey Cam, healing chamber, I like that, that's a good terminology.
02:08 So how is it that Ole Miss stresses a defense?
02:12 What are they doing schematically that stresses a defense?
02:14 Jayden, if you can handle that one.
02:17 >> They do a lot of different things with the week.
02:19 It's a lot of RPO and fast pace.
02:23 They do a lot of tempo, and I feel like that's just what puts stress on
02:27 the defense, is the tempo that they have.
02:29 >> Cam, your thoughts, and then about trying to get after Jackson Dart,
02:33 what you think of him?
02:34 >> Jackson Dart, he's a good quarterback.
02:38 He's a mobile quarterback, as I said before.
02:40 He has a mix of pass and run.
02:44 I think he's probably one of the best runners.
02:46 Well, one of the best runners we've seen thus far.
02:49 So we just mainly have to contain him in the pocket.
02:51 And yeah.
02:52 >> All right, this series has been really crazy.
02:56 I mean, the game two years ago, huge shootout.
03:00 Last year, y'all got the big lead on them.
03:01 They kinda came back a little late.
03:03 What do you think about kinda the wildness of this series, Cam?
03:06 >> It's always back and forth.
03:10 I know that last year we got out to a very good start.
03:14 We still won the game last year, but we didn't put all four quarters together,
03:19 how we were supposed to.
03:20 And I know that that's the big emphasis, not only on this game, but
03:24 throughout the rest of the season.
03:25 We have to put four pretty good quarters together on both sides of the ball.
03:29 >> Jayden, your thoughts about just, it's been a wild series.
03:33 >> Yeah, we just go in and focus on what we gotta do.
03:39 And we just hope to, well, we don't hope to win.
03:43 Our mindset is to win, and that's what we're coming to do.
03:47 >> And then just my final question would be,
03:50 what's the kinda attitude of the team right now?
03:54 Having lost three in a row and two more road games before you get home, Jayden?
03:58 >> My freshman year, we lost three games in a row, and
04:03 we ended the season nine and four.
04:05 So we just taking it one game at a time and trying to get back on that run and
04:10 finish off with a bang for sure.
04:12 >> And just your thoughts?
04:15 >> Basically, like Jayden said, our freshman year, we did lose three in a row.
04:22 And Coach Pittman put a little word together with the four Bs.
04:26 I don't know if anybody remember that, but we went on the run and
04:30 finished nine and four.
04:31 So that's basically what we're looking to do here instead of not lose another game.
04:35 But also at the time, we just have to get our first win,
04:39 just to get things back rolling.
04:41 So thanks, guys.
04:43 >> Greg.
04:44 >> Yeah, Kim, I'm sure you're facing scouts, so
04:48 you're not going against Kudas and Lemmer and Latham, those guys.
04:52 But I was curious what your thoughts are on the position moves that they've made,
04:57 how you think they'll be able to handle it?
04:59 >> I think they'll handle it well.
05:01 Kudas was playing some center in the spring.
05:04 And Brady, he's very versatile.
05:07 He can play tackle well.
05:09 And I saved the best for last, because when it comes to Bo Lemmer going back
05:13 to guard, man, it's a scary thing.
05:16 And I haven't seen it in a while.
05:17 So when we did have a good on good period today, and I seen it for
05:21 the first time, I had to buckle my chin strap a little extra.
05:24 Because Bo doesn't have to worry about getting the ball back to KJ anymore, so
05:27 he can just come off full blast.
05:29 >> So whenever you looked and saw that, I guess maybe when you were doing some
05:32 basketball, you might have seen it.
05:34 But whenever you saw that, did they tell you ahead of time
05:39 that the offense is doing this stuff, or
05:40 was that just a surprise to everybody on defense?
05:43 >> I mean, I heard some rumors about it, but I haven't really seen it.
05:46 But then when I seen it was true, I was just like, okay,
05:49 let me tighten up my stands a little bit.
05:50 Cuz I know about the old Bo playing guard, so.
05:54 >> Yeah, Jaden, I wanted to ask you about their wide receiver.
05:59 Wide receivers Heath and Mingo are both no longer there, but
06:02 they have Jordan Watkins played last year, and Dayton Wade, Trey Harris, number nine.
06:07 What are your thoughts, 11, 19, and nine, on what those guys bring to the table for
06:11 Ole Miss, and stepping up in place of those other guys who are now in the NFL?
06:14 >> They fast, they do everything for their offense, besides the running game.
06:23 And they are very key guys that we have to stop to win this game.
06:27 We gotta keep them in front of us, and
06:30 I feel like they are pretty good players for sure.
06:35 >> What about what they do offensively?
06:37 I mean, they've been hard for most teams to defend.
06:40 Is it just like they'll call anything at any time?
06:42 Or is it just the discipline, the technique they use?
06:46 Or is there a play calling aspect to it?
06:48 What's your opinion on what they do offensively?
06:52 >> They do a lot of things different, like I said, week to week.
06:54 And then the tempo is another thing for sure.
06:59 And then they run a lot of one man routes.
07:02 >> Thanks, fellas.
07:06 >> Daniel.
07:07 [BLANK_AUDIO]
07:14 >> Defensive coordinator, just through five weeks, why is that?
07:19 And what have they done well?
07:21 >> Could you repeat that, please?
07:24 >> Yeah, Coach Pittman mentioned on Monday that you all have taken to both
07:29 defensive coordinators well, just three or five weeks.
07:32 How is it working under them?
07:34 [BLANK_AUDIO]
07:36 >> I can't believe you said coordinators, defensive coordinators.
07:40 >> I mean, we're more of a aggressive defense.
07:45 I know we have a lot of new things schematically.
07:49 Overall, Coach T.
07:51 Will, he's a pretty good coordinator, I can't say myself.
07:55 [BLANK_AUDIO]
07:58 >> And then for the defense, every week it seems that you all have been given
08:02 a short field.
08:03 Just what's the defense's mindset when that's the case and
08:08 working with the short field and they have a good field position?
08:13 >> Make a stand, no matter what our offense do or where they get the ball at,
08:18 our job is to go out there and get the ball back to our offense.
08:23 [BLANK_AUDIO]
08:25 >> Thanks, guys.
08:27 >> Bob, what's it at?
08:29 >> Okay, I guess this is for both guys.
08:31 Jayden, maybe you could take it first.
08:32 You mentioned tempo a couple of times when I was reading in the Ole Miss Nose.
08:35 I think there's something like the eighth or
08:38 ninth fastest team in terms of few seconds between snaps, 20-something seconds.
08:43 I assume you guys have worked a lot against tempo this week in practice.
08:47 And just how challenging is that when a team is snapping the ball that fast?
08:53 >> It's challenging because we're trying to get back to the line of scrimmage.
08:57 They're doing a lot of motions, playing with your eyes.
09:00 So it's a lot of communication.
09:01 It has to be at a high level.
09:03 [BLANK_AUDIO]
09:05 >> Kayden, you got a thought on that?
09:07 I mean, I know it's probably tough on you big guys.
09:09 >> [LAUGH] I mean, I wouldn't say it's necessarily tough.
09:14 It is a challenge.
09:16 But basically, my whole mindset is after we make plays,
09:20 don't have time to get up and celebrate, we gotta run back to the ball.
09:23 They have a high tempo offense.
09:25 So the main thing is just getting the call,
09:27 making sure we're aligned in the right gaps so we can just keep playing ball.
09:30 >> And Cam, I noticed they didn't give up any sacks.
09:34 They had, I don't know, eight-something snaps against LSU and
09:36 didn't give up any sacks.
09:37 What do you think of their offensive line?
09:39 And then I think if you answer that, it looks like Tom's got one more.
09:42 Thanks, guys.
09:42 [BLANK_AUDIO]
09:46 >> I think that coming off the LSU win, that they're gonna overlook us.
09:51 So I don't think they're really too much worried about us.
09:53 And like I said before, schematically,
09:56 I think we're gonna switch it up this week a little bit.
09:59 So I look forward to it.
10:00 [BLANK_AUDIO]
10:03 >> All right, Tom.
10:04 >> Yeah, hey, at the end of the game last week, you guys put up a goal line stand.
10:09 The last three plays of the game from the one yard line.
10:12 And I know and maybe in other circumstances,
10:14 maybe a team just kind of barrels in at that point.
10:17 What do you think that stand meant for the team?
10:20 And just how it felt to hold them out on those three plays?
10:24 [BLANK_AUDIO]
10:26 >> It felt good, even with the loss, just to man up and buckle down.
10:32 And just to show that no matter if it's zero seconds left on the clock or 15,
10:36 we'll never give up and we'll never stop fighting and never quit.
10:40 >> Dane?
10:41 >> Just what Cam said, it shows the fight in our team,
10:46 our mindset and our mentality.
10:49 We're coming out there, we're gonna give it our all every step
10:54 until the clock hits zero, zero and zero, so yeah.
