00:00 It's official, Jameson Williams has returned to Lions practice, John.
00:03 What do you make of that being the case for Jameson?
00:06 >> Yeah, Vito, real interesting.
00:08 Over the weekend, the Detroit Lions got some really good news for
00:11 once from the National Football League.
00:14 The NFL decided to reduce the suspension for
00:17 Jameson Williams from six games down to four.
00:20 And it's really good that the league decided to really take a look at
00:23 the gambling policy and shift it around.
00:26 The suspension that Jameson would have incurred now under the new policy would
00:30 only have been for two games.
00:32 So now that he's served four games, he's now back in the Detroit Lions' locker room,
00:37 has practiced this week with the team.
00:39 And I think it's really good for
00:41 the three and one Detroit Lions to get an offensive weapon back.
00:44 Now, for everybody that expects Jameson Williams to come in right away and
00:48 light up the stat sheet, let's pump the brakes a little bit.
00:51 The Lions are going to acclimate him slowly back into the rotation.
00:56 He's not gonna play 50 snaps against the Panthers, but he's gonna be involved.
01:00 As he ramps up his 2023 season, Jameson Williams is now back in the fold,
01:06 is practicing, able to get coached in the meeting rooms.
01:09 And that bodes well for the Detroit Lions and their offense.
01:12 Vito, look, you look at this Lions offense, and
01:15 they've been able to consistently score points.
01:17 But the explosive plays still leave a lot to be desired.
01:22 When you have a player that's able to take the top off the defense,
01:25 that can only benefit everybody involved, including Sam Laporta,
01:29 Amin Rah, St. Brown, David Montgomery, and Jameer Gibbs.
01:33 So even though Jameson Williams may not light up the stat sheet,
01:37 his mere presence is going to help out Ben Johnson and this offense.
01:42 >> John, thanks for all the insight.
