The Queen "knew she wasn't going to come back" from Balmoral, a royal expert has claimed. Katie Nicholl claimed Queen Elizabeth II "wanted to pass" in Balmoral. She described the former monarch's stay in the Scottish estate as the "ultimate homecoming". Speaking to the BBC's Huw Edwards, Ms Nicholls said: "The Queen 'knew she wasn't going to come back [to Windsor Castle or Buckingham Palace], I think she wanted to be in Balmoral and she wanted to pass there."
