00:00 With sunshine to start the week in the Northeast,
00:02 it's smooth sailing for travelers,
00:04 but not everyone's seeing those dry conditions.
00:07 Jeff Cornish has tonight's travel outlook.
00:09 - We have a few different forms of travel trouble
00:13 in our Tuesday forecast.
00:14 Patchy fog for some along I-95 in the Northeast
00:17 just in the morning.
00:18 Spotty storms in South Florida.
00:20 We have scattered showers and thunderstorms
00:21 in various parts of the plains,
00:23 all tied to a slow-moving autumn cold front.
00:26 The Northwest, you're in great shape
00:28 at the Pacific Northwest.
00:29 There will be some scattered showers into Helena,
00:31 little snow in the Tetons,
00:32 and some spotty showers here and there
00:34 around Salt Lake City.
00:35 Some of the activity in Denver
00:36 will be restricted to the morning hours.
00:38 We're in good shape otherwise in the Southwest.
00:40 And again, beyond the morning showers in Denver,
00:42 we'll have some periods of rain off and on in Casper.
00:45 And scattered showers and periods of rain into Bismarck,
00:47 could be a thunderstorm or two into the Twin Cities.
00:50 And wind is our main concern in Omaha and Kansas City,
00:53 but storms will be just off to the west
00:55 of those areas during the day.
00:56 Also, close call in Oklahoma City.
00:57 Most of your daytime weather looks okay,
00:59 but there will be some showers and storms
01:01 for Wichita Falls, Woodward, and Enid off to the west.
01:04 Look out for scattered thunderstorms
01:05 into the Houston area in the afternoon.
01:07 Breezy and almost windy at times into Jacksonville,
01:11 so high-profile vehicles over the bridges, look out.
01:13 We do look a little bit stormy still in Miami.
01:16 And patchy fog is the only concern into Detroit.
01:18 The rest of the Ohio Valley and Midwest do look pretty good.
01:22 Into the Northeast, patchy fog, an issue in the morning,
01:25 from Boston down into Providence,
01:27 New York, Philadelphia, Wilmington, Baltimore, and D.C.
01:31 Morning fog, then great travel weather in the afternoon.
01:34 Now, at the end of the week, into the weekend,
01:36 our cold front will reach that area,
01:37 causing an increase in flight cancellations.
