00:00 >> Yeah, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I can't hear you.
00:02 I can tell you in the second half,
00:03 there was a period of time where every drop back,
00:06 it looked like you had pressure.
00:08 Maybe what led to the pressure they got,
00:11 what we all thought was right against the pressure?
00:14 >> I mean, it started with communication.
00:15 Just everybody being on the same page was,
00:18 hold on, tight end, running back,
00:20 including myself to be able to change protection
00:23 or know where the pressure's coming from
00:25 and make sure everybody on the same page
00:27 and on one accord.
00:28 So I mean, that's what it boils down to,
00:31 just communication up front.
00:32 [BLANK_AUDIO]
00:35 >> Hey, Jay, Andrew Hutchinson, Best Barn Squad Sports.
00:37 Last weekend's LSE and then again today,
00:39 low red zone, had trouble punching it in the end zone.
00:42 Can you put your finger on one thing that's still going wrong
00:45 out there, the post-season zone?
00:47 >> I gotta go back and watch the film, but I mean,
00:50 from my point of view, it'll always be execution.
00:53 I mean, we get in those situations,
00:54 we have to come away with touchdowns in those situations.
00:57 And those touchdowns lead to more touchdowns
00:59 and just building our confidence
01:01 when we do get in the low red zone.
01:02 So moving forward, I mean, there's gonna be a big point
01:05 of emphasis that we have to focus on
01:06 when we get into those situations and those scenarios
01:08 that we have to come away with once
01:09 rather than just kicking field goals.
01:12 >> Great shot, one of the things was,
01:14 hey, Jay, what did you see on the forward and short play?
01:17 And are you comfortable if they ask you
01:19 to get under center to take the snap?
01:21 >> Of course I'm comfortable taking the snap on the center.
01:24 I mean, we work it, we practice it all week.
01:26 So I'm comfortable under center.
01:29 And buzz, the fourth and short,
01:32 I mean, like I said, we gotta execute.
01:34 We know it's one yard we gotta get, game of inches.
01:36 I mean, we know we gotta come away with those
01:38 in those situations.
01:39 We gotta be able to train and be tough
01:41 and be willing to go get the first down.
01:44 >> Thank you, Bob.
01:47 >> That's a big one.
01:50 Brock, I know we're in the zone, you and I,
01:52 so how big was it to be back actually to play
01:54 with you at the end of next month's bus?
01:57 >> Yeah, it's great to be back, definitely with my teammates,
01:59 definitely back on the field.
02:01 But at the same time, we just took the L,
02:04 just waiting to, this week to prepare for Ole Miss,
02:09 but it's not just about me.
02:11 I'm glad to be back,
02:11 but glad to be back with teammates as well.
02:13 >> Hey, Jay, Sam, with the Sanders saying
02:16 it's hard to throw a hole in your lap and seven sacks,
02:19 and I know you're tough guy to bring down,
02:20 so I look forward to next month's second quarter.
02:23 How tough is that getting sacks in?
02:26 >> That's pretty frustrating.
02:27 Like I said, it started with communication up front,
02:29 I mean, with everybody knowing what's going on,
02:32 who they're pointing to, who's the mic,
02:34 who's, where the pressure's coming from.
02:36 So it started in front with communication,
02:37 and it's pretty frustrating at times where you're getting,
02:41 like you said, you're getting sacked and things,
02:42 and you have a big play, you got guys running wide open
02:45 down the field, you can't get the ball to them.
02:46 So it's pretty frustrating at times, but like I said,
02:48 like Rocky said, I mean, put our head down,
02:50 get back to work, but take it one day at a time.
02:53 >> For both of you, it's gonna be land
02:54 when you get that dispersion in Hudson.
02:57 I know you guys have had a pretty solid run,
02:59 three points in turnovers,
03:01 and now I'm wondering, you have 20 points,
03:03 but what do you think of by and between
03:05 the way I'm running, pretty good play time,
03:07 what do you think of the Aggies offense and how they execute?
03:10 >> I think we have a really talented offense.
03:11 I think Max Johnson's a really talented quarterback,
03:14 and I mean, we gotta come out
03:17 and play a lot better in the first half.
03:20 I think we came out in the second half
03:21 and played really well,
03:22 but we gotta play a complete game.
03:24 >> Yeah, I'd say the same thing,
03:28 we just gotta play better in the first half.
03:31 We came out, Byron off cylinders,
03:34 and then all the receivers,
03:35 and so we just gotta play the first half
03:37 like we played in the second half.
03:39 >> Good job, man, that's, you have a lot of success
03:44 in this field in your high school days.
03:47 Is it frustrating not being able to have that success
03:50 in your college days?
03:52 >> Yeah, it's frustrating anytime you get a loss,
03:55 so I think we just gotta take that,
03:57 and take it hard, and see how we're feeling right now,
04:00 and try to not have the same feeling next week.
04:02 >> Scottie went along four runs for us,
04:06 but went and had some good score.
04:07 We also saw Max Johnson's end,
04:09 and I know you mentioned the same thing,
04:11 though, you seemed like you gave him a little bit more
04:12 in the game than every time,
04:14 so I'm nice and nice of him to say
04:16 this kind of went one way at a time.
04:17 >> Oh yeah, I think he's able to just read
04:20 the field really well, and he knows when it's time
04:23 to get out the pocket, and when he does,
04:24 he can move a lot better than we initially thought.
04:27 So, I mean, he's great on his speed,
04:29 he made some great throws tonight,
04:31 and I think he's just all around a really good quarterback.
04:33 >> Yeah, he's throwing balls in great places,
04:37 and he's excelling in fighting speed,
04:39 and so I think he's gonna play again,
04:41 and come up again.
04:43 Sam Clinton told us that when you lose the fight
04:45 in the league, you think you lost,
04:47 instead of winning the fight.
04:50 Could maybe y'all go through and talk about
04:52 what you see in the locker room in terms of,
04:54 will there be a bounce back?
04:56 How exciting that is, where you are right now,
04:59 two of you.
05:00 >> Really, I think it's, what's gonna keep us together
05:04 is the guy that's not playing at the moment,
05:06 and realize they still here for us,
05:08 you know, and just putting the word in,
05:10 you know, and just, you know,
05:12 no negativity on the outside of it, you know,
05:14 so just really the guy that's not playing
05:16 and not getting that much reps,
05:17 and, you know, just on special team at the moment,
05:20 just, you know, putting the word for both sides of the ball
05:22 and just, you know, just have that intensity
05:24 on both sides of the ball, and just, you know,
05:26 I feel like that's gonna take us to the next level
05:28 and make us stay together.
05:29 >> Any other thoughts?
05:31 >> Yeah, I mean, we got a team of workers.
05:33 Everybody's ready to get back to work on Monday.
05:36 Nobody, I mean, I've always been taught
05:39 not to look in the past.
05:39 Once the game's over, the game's over.
05:41 It sucks you lost, but I mean,
05:43 you can't get down about one loss,
05:45 and that turns into losses the rest of the season.
05:48 So I think our team's gonna do a really great job
05:51 of staying together, and I mean,
05:53 we're gonna go to Ole Miss
05:54 and play a great football game next week.
05:56 >> Jeremy, we'll have to start with you, Adrian.
06:00 This is a question for the defense.
06:01 What did the guys see A&M go for
06:04 on the final seconds of the fourth quarter
06:06 in the back stand?
06:07 What am I told on?
06:10 >> I think their coaches were confident in their offense,
06:13 but I think that showed a lot for our defense
06:15 to make that stop right there.
06:17 Shows that we're not just gonna bend over
06:20 and give it to them,
06:21 'cause they're up and the game's over.
06:23 I mean, so we made the stop,
06:25 and that just shows, I guess their coach
06:27 was really confident in their offense.
06:29 >> Daniel, should we follow up for the defense?
06:33 It seems like every week,
06:34 y'all are kind of put in one kind of
06:36 nickel short field situation.
06:38 So it's kind of, how do y'all keep your spirits up
06:40 and keep that same mentality
06:42 and never get this in spirit out?
06:43 >> Man, we work it in practice.
06:46 We gotta be able to, I mean, stop them.
06:49 We can't let them score, get a, I mean,
06:52 we gotta at least be able to hold them to a field goal
06:53 whenever the ball's in the red zone.
06:55 There's no reason we should just let them go in and score.
06:57 So that was completely on the defense,
06:59 going to half when they got the ball right there,
07:02 and we just gotta play better defense
07:03 in situations like that.
07:04 >> Yeah, I think whenever we get put in those situations,
07:09 we just gotta throw out the mindset that we do
07:11 in any area of the field,
07:13 that we're gonna knock that down.
07:15 >> Yeah, Evan Jam, a big fan of the Nation,
07:17 and back for the defense,
07:18 playing in Hudson, you guys are pretty strong off.
07:20 It's really the whole team about physicality.
07:23 Three or five games,
07:24 talking about physicality might not be where you want it.
07:26 How can you use that for the next couple of weeks
07:28 to improve the physicality of both the offense
07:30 and the defensive side of the ball?
07:32 >> It starts with practice.
07:33 We gotta bring it more in practice.
07:35 And come Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday,
07:38 we just gotta have really physical football practices
07:41 to get to the level we wanna be at on Saturdays.
07:43 >> KJ, when you lost Luke on the first series of the game,
07:50 what do you lose there,
07:51 and what do you think of the tight end's coming up behind?
07:54 >> I think the tight end stepped up big time.
07:56 I think they was ready for the opportunity
07:58 when it presented itself,
07:59 so I feel like they was well-prepared.
08:01 And losing Luke, you're losing a guy
08:04 that's willing to sacrifice a lot.
08:06 I mean, rush of the guy, block, catch, run,
08:09 so you're losing a guy
08:11 that's very pretty valuable to our offense,
08:12 to the team as well.
08:13 So, I mean, it was pretty frustrating,
08:16 but I mean, I feel like he'll be back stronger than ever now.
08:19 >> Sam said you're the leader of the entire team.
08:20 What's your take on kind of where you are
08:22 with two tough road games right ahead?
08:25 >> We're gonna take it one day at a time.
08:26 I mean, I feel like, like you said,
08:28 I mean, the team, we ain't separated.
08:30 We're not dividing at all.
08:31 I feel like we're just coming together stronger.
08:34 We're in an adverse situation right now,
08:35 so I mean, as a fighter, I mean,
08:37 your back gets the wall, you gotta come out swinging.
08:39 So, I mean, that's the mentality that we got right now,
08:41 and we know our back gets the wall,
08:42 and we just gotta take it one day at a time and keep working.
08:45 >> Bob, good morning, sir.
08:48 Thank you for that.
08:49 It was obviously a real scary deal with Tom already.
08:51 Sam gave us some pretty encouraging report,
08:55 needs to be okay to actually get out.
08:57 I saw the whole team went out there
08:58 and kind of get around the car.
09:00 What was that moment like for you guys?
09:01 How scary was that?
09:02 I guess how few of our leaps it's been,
09:04 AJ and Langdon, you know, a lot of people.
09:08 >> It just shows that, I mean, we're here for each other.
09:10 I mean, it's bigger than football
09:12 when it comes down to something like that
09:14 happening on the field.
09:15 So, at that point, I mean, we don't think about football a lot.
09:17 We think about, that's our brother out there
09:19 laying down like that, or, you know what I'm saying?
09:21 He in a situation that he can't control
09:23 at that moment of time, so we all just ran out there
09:26 to make sure we give great energy,
09:29 encouraging words, praying for him,
09:30 and we just want to see him back healthy.
09:33 >> Langdon, yeah.
09:34 >> Man, he's our brother.
09:36 We love him, so I think that's the reason
09:38 we all went over there.
09:39 He's a great guy, and, I mean,
09:41 we'd do that for anybody on the team.
09:43 So, I mean, Coach Pippen said he's, I mean,
09:47 doing pretty well, so, I mean, I'm ready to see him next week
09:50 and, I mean, praying for him.
09:52 >> Coach Bracken, you got a question?
09:53 >> Yeah, you know, I don't wish that on anybody.
09:56 Our team, our team we're playing against,
09:57 you know, he's our brother, like they said.
10:00 You know, just being with him 24/7,
10:02 you know, we play, we be with each other
10:04 more than a coach would be with us.
10:05 So, at the end of the day, I feel like,
10:06 you know, that's a brother, you know,
10:08 and like I said, I don't wish that on nobody else.
10:10 >> And I know a tough loss and a tough day,
10:13 but, you know, we got to ask everybody
10:14 with their fourth down stop,
10:16 with the end slamming and Hudson Elm,
10:18 you got a chance to finish, right?
10:19 Is that something you can carry over into next week?
10:21 I mean, a little bit of momentum,
10:23 and maybe that's a dumb question,
10:25 but I'll ask it.
10:26 >> Oh, no, no, not at all, but I do think it'll,
10:29 I mean, it'll, Coach T. Will talked to us after,
10:33 and he was like, man, that just shows y'all got that fight,
10:35 y'all got fight, you know, and I think we do.
10:38 So, I think that will carry over into practice next week
10:40 and give us, I mean, kind of a positive ending,
10:44 you know what I mean?
10:44 Obviously, it's not positively lost,
10:46 but last play of the game was in our favor.
10:49 So, I think it will be kind of good momentum
10:52 going into next week.
10:53 >> Yeah, I just think we fight until the clock hits zero,
10:58 so I think it's just a test of those defense
11:00 we can carry that next week.
11:02 >> KJ, Melissa Orange, Mitchell,
11:05 I have two questions for you.
11:06 First question, you guys are four and five
11:09 on third down on the mid, oh, and nine on the next half.
11:13 What changed on those third down conversions
11:16 that you started going out of there?
11:18 >> Like I said, communication, I mean,
11:19 it starts from communicating,
11:20 make sure the receivers know what's going on,
11:22 make sure the whole line knows what's going on,
11:23 the refs see, everybody just knows
11:25 what's going on on the same page.
11:26 I mean, so going into it,
11:28 there's gonna be a big point of emphasis
11:30 going into the next week,
11:31 just being able to keep the change moving,
11:33 not putting ourself in third and long situations
11:36 and being able to just punt the ball when it's not,
11:38 you know, so I wanna be able to stay on the field,
11:41 office on the field and just keep,
11:42 stay ahead of the change.
11:44 >> It's the end of next week, it's home for you, Boxer.
11:47 I know how emotional you were after that game two years ago.
11:51 How late is this game before you panic and tell us?
11:55 >> It really haven't hit me yet.
11:56 I mean, my main thing is being able to get back on track,
12:00 try to get back in the winning column.
12:02 So my main thing is make sure I'm doing what I can
12:06 with my teammates in the locker room,
12:07 make sure I'm jelling everybody good,
12:08 make sure I'm leading everybody the right way
12:10 and we're gonna see come Saturday.
12:12 >> Laney, I told us you made a roll in very quick today.
12:16 Sorry to cut off this.
12:17 >> I'm doing great.
12:18 I mean, it's a little sore,
12:19 but I mean, I'll be full go come Monday.
12:22 Gonna get in for some treatment tomorrow morning,
12:24 but overall it's good.
12:25 >> KJ, you mentioned that the communication
12:28 is on the office.
12:30 Is that a matter of like just grasping the office
12:32 so you're trying to get ahold of the office
12:34 or what do you think is going on with the communication?
12:37 >> I mean, it just,
12:40 the main thing is being able to just know
12:44 where we're going to.
12:45 I mean, who we're finding protection to
12:47 and make sure, I mean, in a loud, hostile environment,
12:50 I mean, I can say something to you,
12:52 you might not hear me out of the way,
12:53 you might think is this, I said that or so.
12:55 Just trying to make sure everybody on the same page
12:57 when I say communication in that format
12:59 was a hostile environment and it's loud
13:02 and being able to communicate and know,
13:03 tell, right what's going on, hey, go here.
13:05 So just what I mean by communication.
