00:00 Good afternoon, it's Chris here with your top three stories today, Friday, September the 29th.

00:05 Is it a UFO?
00:07 Sheffield man left scratching his head after recording lights moving in the night sky.
00:11 And number two.
00:13 Douglas MacDonald, disgraced cop who had relationship with girl is Afghan war veteran.
00:18 And number three.
00:19 Sportsman pub lodged more tributes as Sheffield locals shut as reports of tragic death of popular landlady.
00:26 That's it for me.
00:27 Have a great day and we'll see you next week.
00:29 Thank you. It's Alistair from the Sheffield Star.
00:31 And we're no more than out here asking people how they feel about the loss of Wilco from the high street.
00:35 The one in Sheffield, for example, is going to close on October 8th.
00:38 So it's got just under two weeks to go.
00:39 How do you feel about the loss of it?
00:40 I mean, I'm quite sad.
00:44 I used to get my stationery from Wilco and I feel like it's quite like reasonably priced and we enjoy going there.
00:52 Yeah, I know we do.
00:54 Yeah, I think Wilco provide good products for great prices.
00:57 So I enjoy going there on the other page.
01:00 And like maybe I would say I go there every week.
01:04 I would say once a week.
01:05 So it's not necessarily to buy something just to browse sometimes.
01:09 So it is kind of sad.
01:11 Can you understand why it's going or do you think it's like doesn't make any sense?
01:15 I have no idea. I didn't read anything about it.
01:17 Yeah, I have no idea.
01:19 I think having been like out priced due to Covid, like recovering from Covid.
01:24 Probably a factor.
01:26 Yeah, other than if it's the old bricks to clicks or just generally like unless the support of one of those.
01:32 I was going to ask if it's one you went to every regular shop or is it when you go for a big shop?
01:38 You only go there when you need a big something or another.
01:39 Not necessarily. I don't really plan what I'm buying there.
01:43 I just go there to browse.
01:45 Sometimes I go there.
01:46 Well, actually, I go there to buy sponges.
01:49 We have a good deal with sponges.
01:52 I didn't get 10 for one pound or was it 10 or 20?
01:55 Yeah, I don't know.
01:56 A lot.
01:58 That's a big difference.
01:59 I know, but I actually don't remember.
02:00 Kee, it's Alastair from the Sheffield Star.
02:02 I'm asking people how they feel about the loss of Wilko's.
02:05 The one here in Sheffield is going to be gone by October 8th, for example.
02:08 And I don't know how you feel about that or if it affects you at all.
02:11 Well, it doesn't particularly affect me in Sheffield itself because I live out of town.
02:14 But there is a very large superstore near where I live.
02:17 But that has closed down of course.
02:19 And it's just a huge space now that's quite derelict and empty.
02:23 And I just fear what's going to happen for the future of that space.
02:26 It's in a shopping retail park and it's just a big space that's wasted now.
02:32 You weren't a very often customer there yourself then?
02:34 Personally, I didn't shop there very, very often.
02:36 Me too.
02:37 OK.
02:38 Can you see a recovery where something else might move in one day?
02:42 Or do you think this might be a loss completely?
02:44 I can't really say, but there are other spaces in the retail park as well that haven't been filled recently.
02:50 And I think it's just a sign of the times.
