LPA east of Luzon may become tropical cyclone

00:00 The low-pressure area outside of our Philippine Area of Responsibility is 1,715 kilometers

00:11 east of the Central Zone.

00:13 We expect this to enter our Philippine Area of Responsibility in the next 24 to 48 hours.

00:23 This low-pressure area has the possibility of being a storm.

00:28 The extension area of the low-pressure area or what we call trough

00:32 reaches the eastern part of Visayas and also in Mindanao.

00:39 The southwest monsoon or hawagat is affected in the western section of the southern monsoon and Visayas.

00:49 So today, we will experience a dark sky with the possibility of rain and thunderstorms in Palawan

01:00 and also in Visayas and in the Zamboanga Peninsula.

01:05 Meanwhile, the southern part of the monsoon with Metro Manila and also in the southern part of Mindanao

01:13 will experience fair weather where we will experience a part of cloudy to cloudy skies.

01:21 But expect isolated rains or sudden rainfalls like yesterday

01:29 where we experienced heavy rain here in Metro Manila.

01:34 And for those who plan to travel, we advise to travel to the whole area.

01:43 Let's be careful because there is still a chance of heavy rain and strong winds following the thunderstorm.

01:54 On the weekend, the sky is clear in Metro Cebu. Expect scattered rains and thunderstorms.

02:02 But in other places like Metro Manila, Baguio City, Ligas City, and Metro Davao,

02:10 we will experience fair weather on the weekend.

02:13 But expect isolated rains, usually in the afternoon or evening.

02:19 The sun will rise later at 546 in the morning.
